Our home is a cozy place. We're close enough to Purdue that we can hear the crowd cheering at home football games from our deck. We're totally handicap-accessible. We have a large loft area, with a private full bath. A comfy couch, two small recliners & a large TV. There are two California Twin Beds pushed together making a King size Bed. They could be pulled apart to make 2 twin beds as well. We have a stair chair to get up the steep stairs. We have two dogs and a cat & a great backyard.

The space

Our little stone cottage was built with river rock in the late 1800's-early 1900's. We would like to pursue it's being added to the National Register of Historic Places eventually. Currently it is listed as "noteworthy" for it's architecture in the Tippecanoe County Interim Report of Historic Buildings and Places!

Guest access

We invite you to enjoy our deck and back yard as well as the Loft. You are welcome to play with the boys, (Toby and Baron) but they are not allowed to leave the yard without a friend or relative.

Interaction with guests

We will be around, but not intrusive. We can gate the stairwell so Toby and Baron cannot get up to bother you, but it's a bit of a challenge to keep Delilah away! She is a bit skittish around folks she doesn't know, hopefully that will keep her at a comfortable distance.

Other things to note

At the moment I am having a coded lock added to the door to allow ease of entry and exit.
The loft is stocked with a Keurig with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There are packaged snacks, a tiny fridge with cold water and space for a small amount of food you may need to store. I will have fresh fruit, instant oatmeal, cheerios, and muffins or Danish for breakfast.
The washer and dryer are not available unless you are staying a week or more.
The grill is not included, but if I am home, and you let me know you would like to use it, I will accommodate most requests as I am able.
I am family friendly, however my stairs are steep and a potential hazard for small children. I have gates to block the top of the stairwell, but want you to be aware of the inherent danger of mixing small children and stairs.

The Little Stone Cottage was the perfect place for my two children and me to land this past weekend. Within walking distance of Mackey Arena, we were able to walk to the volleyball game with ease. Lynnette's hospitality is unmatched. In addition to her kindness, She had snacks and drinks among many other touches that made us feel very comfortable and at home.

Lynette made us feel very welcome and her space was flexible and comfortable. She made her patio/deck available to us, welcomed us with fresh-baked cookies, and made sure we were content. She clearly enjoys having guests at her spotless home!

This is a sweet place to stay that is private but feels like home. The location is close to food, shops, and everything the university campus has to offer as well. Lynnette is a jewel. We will certainly be looking to stay with her again in the future. Highly recommended.
