Every accommodation has its positives and its negatives, but the positives of this apartment far outweigh its negatives. The Positives: - LOCATION. The apartment is in a very quiet, architecturally elegant, and very pleasant residential street, just 20 minutes' brisk walk from Santa Maria Novella railway station, or the Piazza del Duomo, or any of the attractions which are in the centre of Florence. Piazza San Marco is 10 minutes' walk from the apartment and from there you can catch buses in all directions. In a road parallel to Via Bonifacio Lupi, just 5 minutes' walk away, is a small branch of a national supermarket chain, providing all basics at normal Italian prices. About 20 minutes' beyond Via Bonifacio Lupi are two much bigger supermarkets, offering everything. - FURNISHING. The apartment is most pleasantly furnished (in a delightfully old-fashioned and traditional style), and as it's on the top-floor (2nd floor above the ground-floor) no one moves on a floor above it (saving you from the footsteps-on-the-ceiling problem that is common in old Florentine buildings). - HEATING. The apartment comes with central heating radiators which are controlled by a gas-boiler and a thermostat which you can adjust as needed and this system works very well. There is also an air-conditioner, should you need cooling in the summer. - KITCHEN The kitchen is well-equipped (with oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, and all the pots, pans, utensils, cutlery and crockery needed for full-scale cooking). There's a table with 2 chairs and 2 stools, and also a sizeable table-top in the adjacent pantry for the storage of groceries. The pantry also stores a vacuum cleaner, laundry rack, ironing-board and iron, broom, and a mop and bucket. - BEDROOM. The bedroom is sizeable with a very high ceiling. It offers a wardrobe with hangers and two large chests each with a good number of shelves or drawers. The bed is large and solid, its base bearing two thick, firm, and very comfortable sponge-rubber mattresses. (The sheets cover the whole bed and the split between the two single mattresses causes no problem - they don't slip apart.) - BATHROOM. The bathroom is well-equipped with shower, washing-machine, large basin, bidet, loo, extractor-fan, mirror, and hair-dryer. - LIVING-ROOM. The living-room is attractive with many framed prints of old Florence on the walls, and with a wide set of windows looking out onto a small enclosed balcony belonging to the apartment. The living-room contains a wide sofa-bed, two easy chairs, and a solid table (excellent as a computer work-station), as well as several other items of furniture. A flat-screen TV offers 100s of Italian TV channels and radio stations. The small balcony has a small metal table and two chairs (which we brought into the living-room for meals), and the balcony offers sufficient space for setting out the laundry-rack. - HALLWAY. The hallway and entrance lobby are both wide, generous in size and height, and very pleasantly decorated with various framed prints of old Florence. - CLEANLINESS. The whole flat...

Very very nice flat!!!Good location, beautiful decoration, wonderful condition and reasonable price!!! It was Costanza's parents met us and both of them are really nice persons. We were really sorry for keeping them waiting for 2 hours as we lost our way. But they were really patient and friendly. They were also very generous when we broke the handle in drawer carelessly. Sorry for the inconvenience we caused and recommend for this lovely flat!!! Best choice to stay in Florence!!!

Living just next door, the communication was very easy. They were very helpful. More then that: I was about to walk to the train station when it started to rain ( serious rain). As Costanza's mother was driving by and offered me a lift to the station! Above and beyond!

This apartment was quaint, cozy, comfortable and delightful. Lots of charm, and the kitchen was well stocked. We cooked breakfast every day, and an occasional dinner Comfortable bed and plenty of storage. An excellent choice, especially if you like antiques, knick knacks and interesting wall art and pictures to add the homey feeling. Our hostesses were extremely accomodating and helpful as well.

We had a lovely stay in the apartment. It is in a quiet part of Florence, but still walkable to all the main sights. Costanza is an excellent host who communicates well and makes you feel at home. One thing to note is that the air conditioning unit is only in the main hallway, and not in the bedroom, so it can still get a bit hot in the summer, but we were still very comfortable staying here!

This apartment was a dream to stay in for 4 weeks. I was in Florence teaching a in a study abroad program with my students from the States. My days were so stressful — this apartment was crucial to me staying comfortable and calm the entire time. I chose his place based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! It's even better than you cc an imagine in terms of location, quietness as night, and coziness of the apartment. Costanza's parents greeted me with open arms and were so so sweet. My luggage was lost and they even offered me clothes since I was jet lagged and with no belongings. I really hope to stay here again next year when I am back for the same program. Thank you so so much!
