It’s beachside in Darwin. Awesome retro apartment with a long balcony and tons of character. All the things you want like comfy bed and good sheets - wifi, TV, stereo, BBQ. Beachfront park views & the character of Old Darwin.
Please note this is our home - we love it & hope you will too - but it is only suitable for people who are here to enjoy Darwin - not to (completely) drink through Darwin. This is a unique & special angle on this city, right beside beautiful Rapid Ck & delicious food.
One of the few houses that survived cyclone Tracey. Our home is large but not conventionally modern. It's rough from the outside and the bathroom is ordinary but it works including a good shower with running hot water.
In the spirit of Darwin the bed is up on milk crates. Please note the tv is just Netflix (haven’t had time to work it out yet).
My stereo is one of my pride and joys. A simple amplifier with some sexy white speakers. Unlimited internet included. And a washing machine.

Interaction with guests
We are often away on weekends. And always during the day. Love to tell you about Darwin. Evening we tend to want out space.
Other things to note
The road in front of our property is not quiet, but because it’s Darwin, it quietens down on nights and weekdays.
The property is old and looks very tired from the outside. Don’t judge the block by its cover. It’s a really cool and comfy pad.
There are two flats downstairs who need to be respected. They are awesome people and could give you good fishing tips.
We are often away on weekends.
- No loud music after 9pm
- No extra guests unless communicated with owners
- Put all rubbish in the outside bins when you leave
- If you break it or use it all up - replace it

Recently I have been dodging crocodiles, middle-school students and mosquitos, whilst living in Northern Australia, where I've been involved with different art projects and education research opportunities. My husband and I have met some great people through the Airbnb community. Meeting people and experiencing new places helps me to listen and learn.
