Fantastic Stay for the price. The place was lovely and clean and central to the main street in Lerwick. Breakfast was an added bonus that I wasn't expecting but it was lovely. Made to feel at home and rooms very clean with a nice hot shower in the morning. If coming to Lerwick would defo recommend a stay here.
I did not meet Andrew, but hostess Caroline was very hospitable and in addition to providing substantial and very satisfying breakfasts she was able to offer a good deal of helpful advice for touring the islands, and upon local weather conditions. Solheim is about a mile from the centre of Lerwick, and a long walk from the ferry terminal, so you would ideally need to rent a car for staying at this location and for touring the islands, which are much larger than they look on a map !
