From the airport, take the Airport bus no 35, which stops on London Road at its junction with Easter Road and the apartment is a 5 min walk. The no 100 bus from the airport is quicker, slightly more expensive but stops further away at Waverley Bridge. This option gives you the opportunity to walk the mile to the apartment (along Waterloo Place and Regent road or down Leith Street and along London road) and get a feel for the city or get a bus (from nearby Princes Street) or a taxi. You can also take the tram from the airport to its final stop at York Place near the Playhouse theatre and either catch a bus (no 26 or 44) or walk along London Road for 20 mins to reach the apartment.
If you're arriving by train, directions are the same as from Waverly bridge, a taxi will cost around £5 and there is a baggage storage area at the station if required).
Interaction with guests
Either Pete or I ( on the odd occasion it may be a friend of ours) will meet you at the apartment to welcome you, hand over the keys, show you around the apartment and answer any questions you may have. At the end of your stay, just lock the door and pop the keys through the letterbox.
Other things to note
To get more hot water, press the boost button (on the wall to the right of the kitchen sink) once twice or three times. This will keep the water heating while your showering, providing enough hot water for everyone.
