Beautiful 16th Century Farmhouse located in The Forest of Bowland (AONB).
Brockthorn is a beautiful, large detached property situated in the tranquil area of Tosside and is ideally placed for large groups of friends or families looking to explore this fantastic part of England.
Surrounded by the wonderful Yorkshire countryside, with Gisburn Forest 2 minutes away.
The space
Beautifully cosy house, with original character throughout. Renovated in 2020 to 5* level; providing a truly magnificent country escape.
Brockthorn boasts five stunning bedrooms with countryside views. Three bedrooms have en-suite facilities and two bedrooms share a family bathroom. Brockthorn can sleep a further 2 guests on a sofa bed in the snug if required.
Bursting with character, the farmhouse retains much of its traditional details with beautiful beams featuring throughout the property, as well as a wonderful lime-stone tiled kitchen.
The kitchen is spacious, modern and well-equipped, fitted with a dining area.
Through the kitchen you will find the sun room, the ideal hub to sit, relax and read a book in a peaceful ambiance.
Up six steps from the sun room, you will find one of the super king-size bedrooms, which has its own en-suite and set of French doors that lead you to the enclosed lawned garden and patio area at the back of the property, where you can sit and relax. There is also a twin bedroom in this part of the property that also has ensuite facilities.
The rest of the bedrooms are on the first floor of this impressive property comprising of one ensuite super-king size double, one king size double and one twin, as well as a generous family bathroom on the same floor.
The rest of the property is made up of a dining room with a large table and enough seating to accommodate all guests and a sitting room with comfortable seating, perfect for winding down in front of the wood-burner after a long day of exploring.
To the front of the property is a lovely raised patio area with outdoor furniture, perfect for having a break and taking in the beautiful countryside views, this is the perfect sun trap in the mornings. there is a large lawned garden to the front of the property and ample parking for 5 cars behind double gates.
To the rear of the property is a patio area with a BBQ and large table and chairs for outdoor dining. This area looks over the paddock with views towards the Forest, two of our retired horses live in this field. Peggy and Roger are very calm and friendly and are always partial to an apple or carrot.
