Come enjoy a peaceful vacation getaway, or private retreat away from the city at The Silo House. We welcome travelers who want to relax and retreat in a serene and peaceful environment in the heart of the lakes region of Central Maine.
The Silo House is a peaceful, rustic sanctuary located in Mt Vernon, Maine. The house is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home built in a modern Swedish/shaker style. It has a full kitchen, bathroom with shower and separate claw foot tub, washer & dryer. The large yard provides several places to sit and enjoy the sun, shade or gentle gurgle of the small stream that runs through the woods into the field below our property. There is a propane grill outside to enjoy summer cookouts.
The buildings that are now The Silo House and The Silo Yoga Studio were once a part of the Elizabeth Arden retreat and spa center and housed Arden's farm and animals until the late 1950’s. The house was converted from animal barn into mechanics garage and now into a spacious rustic home. The barn is partially converted into a 1,000 sq foot yoga studio.
Guests may use the entire house, the Yoga studio is closed to access for guests, except- guests may participate in the scheduled yoga classes that run bi-weekly through the end of September 2017. The regular drop-in rate for the yoga class would be payable to the teacher at the time of the yoga class.

I am a fine art photographer and a yoga studio and holistic sanctuary owner in Central Maine. I am focused on holistic care for families and individuals alike, with a strong desire to inspire others to take conscious actions towards living their personal and business lives with authentic expression. Through a holistic lifestyle, I have been able to incorporate yoga, meditation, crystal healing, reiki and artistic expression to heal myself and attain a more balanced life. I love coffee, eat paleo-inspired, love my friends and enjoy seeing new places.
