Molrubin House was originally built in the 1890’s and maintains it’s original colonial charm mixed with clever modern architecture. The house was named after aboriginal fighting chief Molrubin who was a prominent leader in South Brisbane in the 1850’s.
Each room has been eclectically curated to create a space that feels homely with an antiquated flare.
The house features many spaces that can be shared amongst guests, if one feels like socialising. For those who feel like some peace and quiet there are plenty of private nooks, including, two small courtyards, a tiki lounge, and a front verandah where one can bask in the morning sunlight.
The lounge area boasts stunning views of sunsets over Mount Coot-tha and once night falls the houses create a backdrop of fairy lights. Listen to some classic vinyl while preparing a meal to eat on the old print makers table.
Step into the tiki lounge and relax on the peacock chairs or play some old time games while having a tipple from the bar.
Guests have full access to the upstairs space including kitchen, dining area, lounge area, breakfast bar, Tiki verandah, front verandah and front gardens.
