Cozy room in Bed-Stuy apartment, one block from Myrtle Willoughby G Train and ten minute walk from Myrtle Broadway M Train. Upstairs Kitchen, Living Room and Bathroom are available for your use! There are several lovely Coffee Shops and Bars nearby. We have three other roommates living here as well as a cat. We have some recording studio space, so we ask that guests are respectful of our area. Utilities are included. This room is available for extended periods of time (weeks/months).

The space

This room has a double bed and a dresser and wardrobe for all your clothes. The room is downstairs, so it's much cooler, and there's a door that leads to the backyard (a shared space). In the living we have a TV with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Chromecast, so you can use your Netflix account to watch anything you like! We also have a kitchen with toaster oven, microwave and fridge.

Guest access

Brooklyn Stoops is a local bar, and my favorite coffee shop is Marcy and Myrtle, one block away. There are several local bodegas close by and a Food Bazaar by the M train stop on Myrtle and Broadway. The train or the bus can take you to downtown Brooklyn.

Interaction with guests

I will be in and out for most of your stay, but mostly I will be away.

Other things to note

We only ask that you smoke outside and be courteous of other roommates.

Great location and nice people. Fun if you are a creative as it's a music studio so a nice vibe. Good place to explore brooklyn and not too far to Manhattan

Dane provides enough help when you need, but only when you need. I asked him to provide me all the necessary information before check-in (right after the booking), then he gave a few information, but there are more serious information that should also be provided such as "You shall not lock any door." (because there are no keys of some of the doors. Funny, isn't it?). I tried to feel secure (since the house is shared by the others, and the apartment is in a region which does not look so secure), and locked one of the doors, and the only way to reopen that door was to call a locksmith. Other than this situation, I had a pleasant stay. The room could be more clean, but it wasn't that bad for me, since I only stayed one night. The good thing is there is a large fan, and the room is pretty decent with necessary amenities.

Dane is a great host. My flight was delayed and I ended up arriving at his place 1:00 am. He waited for my checking in and on my way he kept contacting by texting messages. Feels warm when traveling along in a strange city at midnight . I used Uber but the subway station is only 5 minutes away. Convenient to go around the city.

Dane was a very reactive and helpful host upon check in. Regarding the location, it is very close to Subway Line G which is convinient to visit Manhattan & Brooklyn. The room is located in the bassement so it is a little bit dark but it was clean and it can be improved with an extra light. The only negative point was that the bathroom was dirty when we arrived. It is an affordable place for 1-2 days to visit NYC

I am a professional musician, living in NYC. I am often out of town for gigs and tours, whenever that happens my room is available to friendly people looking for a safe place to stay in the city.
