Quiet and peaceful with beautiful views, Little Warham Cottage has it all. This detached cottage has been thoughtfully presented and furnished to ensure guests have the holiday they deserve. Located in the Torridge Valley, just outside the village of Beaford, this really is an unspoilt part of Devon. Surrounded by 4 acres of well-tended gardens, guests also have access across the surrounding land down to the privately owned 2 miles of river bank along the River Torridge.

The space
At Little Warham we are very fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful Devon landscapes and spectacular wildlife; rather than road noise you are most likely to only be disturbed by our resident owls.

There are no public rights of way or bridleways by the river, you will almost certainly spot a Kingfisher; see Dippers, Wagtails, Mallards, Herons, Swallows and the occasional migratory visitor. If you are lucky you may even see an otter (a little tip, if you are an early riser, head down to the river at dawn or if a late starter perhaps at dusk)!

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy, it is as lovely in the summer as it is snuggling up in front of the log burner in the winter.

The cottage is ideally located for those wanting to get out and explore the charming north Devon coast and countryside. There are some lovely circular walks direct from the cottage itself. The local pub, The Globe Inn, is a 1.5 mile walk up to the village along a quiet lane. The pub serves good quality local food and a vast choice of ales and cider.

There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Croyde and Sandymouth. Enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. If gardens are of interest, you will find the RHS gardens at nearby Rosemoor a delight, and there are numerous National Trust properties in the surrounding area to enjoy.

The town of Great Torrington lies close by where you will find the Dartington Crystal Factory and the Civil War museum. At Bideford’s quay you can book a trip to Lundy Island and slightly further afield there is the Dartmoor National Park. Beach lovers will delight in the wide sandy beaches, the nearest is at Westward Ho. The Milky Way and The Big Sheep will fascinate the younger ones. There are several local pubs within a short driving distance.

Anthony and Amanda have always had a close relationship with the countryside, coast and rivers. Little Warham offered them all of this in abundance. This area of North Devon is still clinging onto 'Old England' and Little Warham has the peace and tranquility which is seldom hard to find these days. Anthony is an Arborist Consultant, so there is plenty to keep him busy around the estate and river, and Amanda is using her 20 years experience in business and travel to create a really memorable stay for their guests.
