Mel had great communication providing me with what to expect upon my stay as I had last minute changes that came up. The space was perfect for my husband and two sons (8 and 9 year olds) the neighborhood is very peaceful and convenient to downtown and the French Quarter. Although the apartment is a recreated attic space it is very neatly kept and private with plenty of light exposure. Definitely can't go wrong with this AirBnb!

Mel's place was just as described! It was very cute and conveniently located-- only about a 10-15 minute Uber ride to Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street. She was very quick to respond to all questions that I had and was extremely helpful with bar/restaurant/entertainment suggestions. I would definitely recommend her place to anyone who is visiting New Orleans!

Good value with lots of space. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning kept it very comfortable. Very quiet at night. Mel is very accommodating. This place is within a few blocks of the St. Charles trolley line, which gives you easy access to the French Quarter. My husband and I slept soundly every night and enjoyed the privacy of our own space. The only con would be the steep, narrow stairs up to the apartment, but these were inside out of the weather. Lots of nice windows facing all four directions!

My husband and I enjoy our busy creative life in New Orleans with our toddler and zippy rescue pup. I work as an art curator, and he is an architect. I am originally from Indiana, and he is from the north woods of Wisconsin. Together we love working on our 1920s bungalow house, taking long walks through exciting New Orleans, watching football, and gluing feathers onto our Mardi Gras costumes.
