Purley-on-Thames is a characterful village along an unspoilt stretch the river Thames. Local towns include Reading, Pangbourne and Henley-on-Thames, with good transport links to further afield Oxford, Windsor and London.
This area is renowned for riverside pubs - The Swan at Pangbourne, The Swan at Streatley and The Beetle & Wedge at Moulsford to name just a few.

Wonderful, secluded retreat. The host made me feel very welcome, with great communication and fantastic cup tea to boot. Perfectly located for the quick conmute to Reading. All the facilities were clean and tidy. Breakfast was a real bonus! - hope to return again.

I'm self-employed and work from home and London. Quite social, love the movies and art shows. Not that into cooking but I eat organic and am very nearly vegetarian. I write, and am putting the finishing touches to a novel so trying to stay in and get on with it! I am forever trying to learn to speak French to a level that will sound like I know what I'm talking about. I fear that this will be many years off. Light years that is.
