The Finnhütte is a nostalgic relic from the GDR era of the 1970s and we try to preserve its character. It has a spacious living room, as well as a small kitchen and a bathroom. In the living room there is a sofa bed for two persons.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

The space
Our Matilda II has been thoroughly modernized this year. With underfloor heating in the bathroom and kitchen, infrared heating and fireplace in the living room, it is now also wonderfully habitable in winter.

The cosy Finnhütte (approx. 45 m2) offered here is located on a park-like plot with old maple and lime trees of approx. 1000 m2. It has a spacious living or dining room, as well as a small kitchen and bathroom. The Finn hut can be comfortably used by 2 people. In the living room there is a sofa bed.

If you want a vacation away from large holiday parks, you will feel comfortable here. Children can let off steam to their heart's content.

The Finnhütte is a nostalgic relic from the GDR era of the 1970s. We wanted to preserve the character of the cabin. We have installed a new bathroom and purchased modern kitchen appliances as well as some farm furniture along with an IKEA double bed sofa. A cast-iron fireplace provides cozy warmth even in dirty weather in minutes. Wood can be purchased cheaply on site. There is also a TV and DVD player.

In front of the Finnhütte there is an open terrace for barbecuing and relaxing. The rental property has a romantic covered terrace of about 20 m². Here, without getting wet, you can enjoy the rain drops pounding on the roof with a sip of wine. In the hammock among the trees you can doze for hours or watch the sunset.

The Finn hut includes a barbecue, 2 outdoor seating groups and plenty of parking spaces.

Where you’ll be

Wesenberg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany

A path of 60 meters leads you to the Old Havel, which flows 80 meters further into the Drewensee. Here is a small jetty where you can use your kayak or inflatable boat. The first forest swimming spot on Lake Drewensee can be reached in 3 minutes on foot, while the official swimming spot is less than 10 minutes away. The Drewensee is closed to the passage of motor boats and offers the neighbours a paradise for fishing, swimming and sunbathing. The Schwanhavel is now known as a particularly beautiful Paddelbach far beyond the borders of Mecklenburg. Paddle from our jetty through this idyllic stream to Wustrow, return for dinner and paddle back. A wonderful day for many.

To the fisherman who offers delicious smoked fish, you paddle in 15 minutes. Of course you can also use bicycles or hike. Ahrensberg is a town with less than 80 inhabitants. The „center“ is a cozy village pub with hearty food and daily meat from the skewer. The surrounding area offers countless tourist attractions. Enjoy the castle concerts in Rheinsberg, cycle to the cultural barn in Klein Trebbow, visit the theatre in Neustrelitz or stroll in the castle park. The nature lover gets his money's worth just as much as the art lover or outdoor athlete. Wesenberg is the nearest larger town (4 km) for shopping. Here you will find two supermarkets, a pharmacy, a drugstore, doctors, many pubs, a small port and a medieval castle. The cultural offerings in the area from April to September are truly overwhelming.
