Make this place your home with Brent and our cat Maui. We offer a *carefree experience* during your stay in Leuven.

Located in the vibrant 'Vaartkom' neighborhood, this former industrial area is full of greenery. Enjoy sluispark and Keizersberg Abbey, perfect for a stroll. You'll find a variety of restaurants and bars just steps away, with the city center and train station about 1 km, a 10-15 min walk.

Relax in our cozy space; we hope to welcome you! Got questions? Send us a quick message! :-)

The space
Your own cosy private room awaits you on the 5th floor. It features a double/single bed, a desk (with a 4K 27" screen and a black & white toner printer), and ample space for all your belongings. The comfortable bed can be set up as a double (160 x 200 cm), a single (80 x 200 cm), or as a sofa for lounging. Enjoy the premium mattress, pillows, and blankets, all free to use. Just let me know if you need extra pillows or blankets!

The fully equipped bathroom includes a bath/shower, soap, and a hairdryer. The toilet is in a separate room. You’re welcome to use the living area, kitchen, and terrace during your stay.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—I'm happy to help! :-)

Guest access
Please call this place your home. Get comfortable in the living room, enjoy a drink and a book on the terrace, take a bath or a shower in the bathroom,... above all, enjoy your stay.

The guest room is completely private for you, there will be no other guests. You will have my exclusive attention, but know that I am often out and about myself. Whenever I have time and inclination I like to cook an extra portion, always vegetarian. :-)

Other things to note
Check-in is after 11:00 AM, and checkout is before 2:00 PM for added flexibility.

Our friendly cat, Maui, mainly resides in the living room. She’s well-behaved and restricted to that area, ensuring a peaceful stay.

There is also a parking lot, "Parking Vaartkom," just around the corner, with a daily rate of only €6.

I want to clarify that you'll have your own private room in our apartment. The common areas are shared, but you will be our only guests during your stay.

Where you’ll be

Leuven, Vlaanderen, Belgium

The Vaartkom-district is a post-industrial part of the city. Historically it was at the Vaartkom that the well-known Leuven industries developed: beer breweries such as world-famous Brouwerij Artois, grain milling, timber traders and so on. With the disappearance and relocation of these traditional industries at the end of the 20th century, the district lost its original function and became a desolate, post-industrial area. Since 2007, the district has been the largest urban renewal area in Belgium and is still undergoing a transformation into a new urban district. Welcoming new families and with it bars, and restaurants ready to be explored like OPEK, HOP, Noordoever, Florida,…

Both the city center and the main train station are around 1km or a 10-15m walk away.
