I came to Penticton for a triathlon, and this airbnb was the perfect place to stay. It's central with the lakes, parks, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and entertainment a walk away, or a short drive away. The room was spacious, with a small kitchen area and fridge. The bed, and extra sleeping pads were all comfortable. Axle was also very friendly, and even went out of his way to take a look at our car as we were having some air conditioning problems. Overall I highly recommend this place, way better than some hotel or motel, and one of the best airbnb's I've ever been in!

Clean and comfortable, friendly host and very close to Main Street. I had a minor issue with a lack of check in information which meant I couldn't get in when I first arrived and had to come back later, fortunately the host was there then and was very helpful. I did only book on the morning that I arrived so I was a bit last minute in fairness. Don't be fooled by the rather sinister looking black security gates, you can actually push open the one down the side of the property by hand although it doesn't look like it!

This beautiful character house provides everything you need for a comfortable stay close to the main attractions. The feeling is easy-going and there are rooms to suit all needs, including shared kitchen and bathroom or private suites. Axle is very approachable and accommodating and will help you in any way he can whether staying long or short-term. I enjoyed the autonomy this place provided mixed with the opportunity to mix and mingle in the yard. Everyone I met here was super nice and respectful.

An older house-cum-rooms building that is well-worn but kept notably clean. Full kitchen available to lodgers, and toiletries are provided. Not ideal for those with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs, but the hallways themselves are spacious and the other borders weren't heard much despite hardwood throughout. Mini fridge and sink provided en suite with hodgepodge furniture and foam mattress. AC worked well but noisily. Overall, good value for the price asked in this location, only major issue was finnickiness of the room's skeleton key lock.

Response from Penticton:
We appreciate your feedback Paul. Thank you for the detailed feedback. The few skeleton locks remaining in the house are the original hardware from when the Anglican Church next door built this home for the practicing minister's family and their students. Indeed old locks require a little more mechanical inclination and patience like anything of old, but we feel holding onto these touches enriches the character and heritage of the home so we probably won't be changing them anytime soon.

I'm a farmer from the North Okanagan who moved to the beautiful city of Penticton. Locally I work for the vineyards and wineries in the area as well as nursing casually in the hospital. In my spare time I tinker on engines, exotic vehicles and manage an airbnb.
