A wonderful retreat all year round, Crychan Forest is a canvas of colour from the native oak, ash, beech and hazel of this ancient forest, which blends wonderfully with the winter whites of snowdrops, the yellow hues of daffodils, the spectacular blue haze from a blanket of bluebells and the golden amber of autumn foliage. Nestling between the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains the area is a haven for those wishing to experience the pleasures of the great outdoors or simply relaxing in the peace and tranquillity of this stunning region of Carmarthenshire. Walking, cycling, horse riding, bird watching, fishing and many other outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed in the immediate area surrounding Cwmclyd.
Interaction with guests
The property is a traditional Welsh Longhouse, where the barn has been converted to two self contained cottages and a bunkhouse/dorm style accommodation. We live in the house and will be present through out but leave the amount of interaction desired to you.
Other things to note
Cwmclyd is a working smallholding, comprising of cats, dogs, chickens and various other animals depending on the time of year.
Access is via a forest track, which is passable by all vehicles with a little care.
Bike hire is also available on site.
