Cluniemore is a welcoming and cosy detached timber built cabin, situated only 100m from the beautiful sandy Carrick Shore beach.

It has been our family holiday home for almost fifteen years and now the children are getting older and we use it a little less often we are planning to share this beautiful place with others.

Carrick Shore is beautiful and provides an ideal base for exploring this quiet corner of Scotland or just enjoying the beach.

The space
Cluniemore is well equipped as you would expect having been our getaway for many years and has many of our personal items in which guests are welcome to use.

The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you would expect including microwave and dishwasher. In the lounge area, the wood burning stove keeps the cabin warm and cosy in winter whilst keeping off the chill on cool summer evenings. The dining area leads through patio doors out onto the spacious decking, which is complete with outside table, 8 chairs, two steamer chairs and barbeque with utensils.

The master bedroom has a luxury super king sized bed and fitted wardrobes. In addition there is an en-suite bathroom with bath and integral shower. Bedroom two also with fitted wardrobes has a king size bed. The third bedroom has two singles and a fitted wardrobe.
The second bathroom is fitted with a shower, vanity unit, toilet and sink.

Outside and round to the rear, there is a washing machine with outside toilet facility. Cluniemore is a great getaway for couples.
We are happy with one well-behaved dog, we politely ask that guests don't allow the dog onto the furniture or sleep in the bedrooms.

Where you’ll be

Castle Douglas, United kingdom, United Kingdom

This part of Scotland is very accessible, beautiful and unspoilt, friends and guests who have visited the area for the first time are always shocked that they did not know about it and they always return thereafter. We have been coming to the area for over thirty years and many neighbours for twice that!
There is something for everyone in the area.
Cream of Galloway for ice-creams and younger childrens acivities.
Laggan Outdoor for good food and older children activities (and daft adults).
Galloway forest Park for walks and nature.
Cally Palace Country House Hotel for golf and afternoon champagne teas.
Threave Gardens.
Threave Castle for nesting ospreys.
The Dark Skies for astronomy and night sky-watching.
The Beach and surrounding countryside for breathtaking walks and scenery.
Kirkcudbright is a nearby town known as 'the Artist's town' and is perfect for exploring, art and antique shops.
