From 10/7- 22, there is a 7 night minimum. From 12/15-1/10, there is a five night minimum. The Hawaii Accommodations tax of 13.42% will be collected at the time of your stay, airbnb does not collect HI taxes.
Simple, clean, comfortable, and very convenient location, minutes from Kona International Airport, also 15 minutes to downtown Kona w/shops, stores, restaurants. World class beaches just a short drive away. Located at a cooler 1000' elevation, ocean view from lanai, full bathroom with tub.
Since this is a studio, it is really suited for one or two people, but there is also a cot for a third person, for an extra charge. Sorry, no pets allowed. You will have a dedicated, off road parking space.
You have a spacious lanai at the top of a flight of stairs, with a table and several chairs. Nice view of the surrounding tropical foliage and the ocean beyond. This is a neighborhood, so there are some nice places to walk on the roads, it is a low traffic area. You do need to rent a car to get around. There are many tropical and other kinds of birds around, also wild chickens and a few roosters, wild turkeys, Kalij pheasants, etc. You will also see geckos, and a few other critters, as this is in the domesticated jungle.
Interaction with guests
Not much interaction, but access via text or phone with any issues. Key will be located in a convenient and safe area to pick up upon arrival.
Other things to note
The location is great for the west side, but close to the Saddle Road, which goes over to Hilo and the waterfalls, etc, in about 80 minutes. Also 40 minutes to Waimea.
- 9pm quiet time, we prefer no shoes in the house, Hawaiian style

I am managing several vacation rental houses besides my main residence, so please disregard any of the following comments unless you are going to stay at Banyan Tree Sanctuary. There are no dietary restrictions or requests for any of the other properties that I am managing.
I am the business manager of a beautiful piece of property in Kailua Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii, called Banyan Tree Sanctuary. I have traveled extensively in the US, and have spent time in every single state except for Alaska. I have also been to Canada, New Zealand and Fiji.
I am a compassionate vegan, and have been a massage therapist for over 30 years. I am a very strong advocate for compassion to all living things, and so choose not to inflict any suffering regarding my diet and lifestyle. Living on this property allows me to eat fresh ripe raw organic fruits and vegetables every single day, and I am incredibly grateful for that. To be able to go out in the morning and find ripe papayas, lilikoi, mango, and so much more, is a true gift. I am also a musician (percussion) and singer/songwriter. We have some drums and guitars at Banyan Tree Sanctuary, and our guests are always welcome to play these and join with any of our classes and events.
My motto is simple: love everyone, and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Life is way too short to spend any time doing anything else!
This property is very special, and even with professional pictures, you can't get the full impact of this place without actually staying here. We currently have seven spaces available, from rooms on the first floor to a deluxe, complete suite with it's own private kitchen area, bathroom and lanai. We look forward to having you as our guests!
