House Rules

I prefer a limit of 8 guests. More than that would require creative sleeping arrangements and an additional fee of $25 per person. My house is a no smoking house. I also would appreciate it if guests would take their shoes off when in the house. I am open to the possibility of pets but would want to know about a pet before agreeing to accept the reservation request.

Super accomodating host. Had a last minute housing snafu for a large group of people. Our host had no problem getting the house ready for us. Thanks much.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rick's home in Seattle. Surroundings were beautiful, there was ample space for our group of 8 and proximity to sites around Seattle was awesome. Rick communicated all the instructions clearly and in advance with a document (a lot of info, but it all made (URL HIDDEN) was very thorough). Everything was as described in the listing and even a little bit better then expected. We would definitely recommend to our family and friends, as well as return here ourselves!

Rick's house was the perfect spot for our family to gather to attend a wedding in Seattle. There is plenty of room! The house is very modern with cool style. We enjoyed it so much!!

We stayed at Rick's home for a wedding weekend. It was the absolute most perfect place for a group of friends! We had plenty of space for all 8 people, and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the proximity. Rick was clear in his communication and instructions, flexible with check in and check out, and just an all-around great host. I definitely recommend this booking to others, and would certainly stay here again. Thanks so much, Rick!

Really nice and large house, plenty of open common space and areas to get away as well. Kitchen was really well stocked (hard to complain with four different ways to make coffee!), and the house is really close to great places on S Rainier.

Ricks place is a gorgeous hideaway just a few short blocks from the chaotic streets of Seattle. Our group stayed here for a wedding weekend and the space exceeded our expectations. Rick is a gracious host and did everything possible to ensure a great stay for our group. This served as an amazing retreat for the close family and friends of the bride and groom to connect, relax, and unwind. Thanks for contributing to a successful wedding, Rick! Highly recommend and will plan to stay again

Wow! What an amazing home. Rick's house was perfect for our family. We traveled to Washington for a wedding, 7 of us. The wedding venue (Baker Rowing Club) was just 1.4 miles away, a $6 Uber. We texted him when we were picking up our rental car and he met us at the house having put out fresh flowers, homemade cookies and brownies (which are 2 children were so excited about!) and fresh strawberries. He gave us a quick tour of the 3 levels and answered any questions. He advised us to park on the top street and walk down the stairs to the front door. That brings you to the top level of the home (kitchen, living room, dining room, and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom). That top level was perfect for my 81 year old grandma as everything she needed was on one level. As you go down to the middle level, there are 2 more bedrooms and 2 more bathrooms, a TV Room, a Futon and more balconies. Below that is the garage/workroom, another bedroom with another queen sized bed and another futon. There is no bathroom on the lowest level (but there's a backyard with a hot tub). My uncle is a smoker so we put him down there so he was able to go outside to smoke. Overall, the home was great! We did a day trip to a local park where the kids were able to play and put their feet in the water. We headed up to Seattle as well to take in all the touristy things (Downtown is about 7 miles away but took about 30 min. with traffic.) I highly recommend this home!

I am an educator and have worked in public schools for more than 30 years. I am an avid cyclist and also enjoy hiking, camping, cross country skiing, and spending time with my grown children. They both live out of Seattle so I travel a few times a year to see them and my new grandson. I plan to open my home to guests when I am away.
