Our 6 favourite things are great home-cooked food, our two dogs, our two boys William and James, and the great Yorkshire outdoors!
We're completely hands-off as hosts-the annexe is separate from the main house with its own access and so you are free to come and go as you please. We can be of as much or as little help as you need with suggestions for local places to visit and getting around. We're spoilt with the location at very end of a quiet lane on the River Nidd, close to an area of Special Scientific Interest which is just a stone's throw away, and perfect for an evening stroll. Depending on the time of year you visit, there is also the possibility of an abundance of apples and plums from the orchard which you are more than welcome to help yourself to.
We're a mile from the train station at Cattal where there is also a great pub and trains to York (20 min), Harrogate (25 min) and Leeds (45 min). The A1(M) is 3 miles away by road giving access north to the North York Moors National Park, the Yorkshire Dales, or west towards the Pennines.
Our two cocker spaniels Skipper and Diggery are friendly and may be running around the property but are entirely harmless!
