I’m sorry to hear of your issues with your stay. I certainly didn’t intend to intrude on your vacation. The first day I was checking to see if you had found the house OK, and to check on the TV service, which I had found out on Saturday before your check in to be not working. I knew that it would be an issue getting it repaired during the holiday week, as our service is out of Bryson City, NC, not local. At first I was told it could not be repaired until Friday, but when he was able to come Wednesday morning we came as quickly as he got here to do the repair. I did give notice when we arrived to some of your folks sitting outside before entering the house, and only when they gave the OK.
The A/C is working fine now; however, it does can struggle with lots of in and out activity from the house in the middle of summer. We’re addressing that. The alcohol regulation is typically not an issue at the house itself. We just don’t want it evident in our public shared spaces such as the dock and pavilion. Our housekeeping staff provides a towel for each pillow in the house. I hope that there were actually more than just six towels among the three bathrooms.
The pet fee is not unreasonable as evidenced by other area rentals. I am updating our AirBnB listings to state the required fee. Most guests have asked before bringing their pet(s), and so I was just a bit surprised to find several dogs when I came to welcome you all and check on the TV. The reason for asking for the check out time was to help us with scheduling a quick turn around for guests arriving that afternoon.
