We welcome those interested in everything from long weekend retreats to week long vacations to corporate rentals. This is a Non-Smoking unit and although we love pets, they are not allowed in the apartment.
LARGER GROUPS- If you have more in your party, we also have another 1bd/1ba (900 sq. ft.) as well as a 2bd/2ba (1,800 sq.ft.) in the same brownstone which is available for rent as well! Same great finishes and styling, same great brownstone!
1. CHECK-IN TIME CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3 P.M. Please respect this time to ensure the unit has been properly cleaned, inspected, and maintained for your arrival.
2.CHECK-OUT TIME Check-out time is before 11 A.M. sharp! Again, this is important to ensure there is enough time for the housekeeper to clean prior to the arrival of the next guest. Please respect the next guest’s arrival time by checking out prior to 11 A.M. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
oStrip the sheets off all the beds that have been used and leave all dirty linens in a pile.
oLaundry should be for one day’s worth of use only.
oLeave the unit neat and orderly.
oPut all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the washing cycle.
oTurn off lights, fans, radios, TV’s, A/C and Heating units, etc.
oClose all windows, sliders, and louvers.
oTake all trash to the trash can at the rear of the building.
oLock all doors and windows and please make sure you have locked the front door to
your unit when you leave.
oFailure to comply with the above rules or excessive disorder may result in forfeiture of all
or part of your security deposit.
3.OCCUPANCY The maximum number of guests is 4. This number does include children. Any abuse of this may result in the loss of your security deposit.
4.RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBORS
This condominium is located in a downtown residential brownstone and you do share some common walls with your neighbors. Please respect your neighbor’s peace and quiet. No loud noise or music after 10 P.M. Parties are not allowed. Any violation of this rule is grounds for immediate eviction from the premises, loss of your damage deposit, and forfeit of any rents paid.
5.REPLACEMENT OF KEYS
There is a fee of $25 for replacement of each lost set of keys.
This is a non-smoking home. Absolutely no smoking in the apartment or the common areas of the building. Abuse of this will result in the loss of your security deposit.
7.USE OF THE PROPERTY
Lessee agrees to indemnify and hold Owner harmless for any and all liability, loss or damage arising from any nuisance made or suffered on the leased premises (including common areas) by the lessee, family members or guest from any use, negligence, illegal or improper conduct of said persons.
All personal property shall be the sole risk and responsibility of the lessee. Any personal possessions left on the premises shall be disposed of unless request is made within three days for their return. The costs incurred for returning personal items, includes postage and handling shall be deducted from the security deposit.
Housekeeping service is not included in your rental costs except for the cleaning upon your departure. Home is supplied with a full linen closet and is self-sufficient. Laundry left should be for current day’s use only. Excessive laundry or cleaning will be charged to your security deposit. A small “starter” supply of bath soap, toilet and facial tissue, paper towels, sponges, and dishwashing detergent is provided. These supplies are provided as a courtesy and are not replenished. Additional maid services can be arranged in advance. The cost is $25 per man-hour with a four-hour minimum.
Please report any equipment or appliance failures immediately. We will do our best to have the appliance repaired during your stay. There will be no rent reductions or refunds for equipment failure. Although 57 E. Cedar St. is an established brownstone, since the homes here are over 100 years old, there are always improvements being made and there will be no refunds if any type of construction happens to be occurring during your stay.
This agreement does not create a tenancy.
12.BUILDING RULES AND REGULATIONS
The rules and regulations of the building must be strictly adhered to by each occupant and their guests.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund plus service fees back.

We have enjoyed making our homes available to vacation and business travelers since 2005 and have provided all you need to be comfortable in your home away from home. We have twin children who love to visit their "Chicago House" and "Hawaii House" and they can hail a cab like seasoned veterans.
