Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Just 12 minutes from Rotorua, this landscaped, idyllic haven (beyond the smell zone) is superbly located in the Ngongotaha Valley for you to enjoy everything that Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty has to offer. The cottage is airy, sunny and comfortable, with a large living space, two bedrooms, bathroom and laundry. The cottage is cool in summer and double glazing and a heat pump ensures it is warm and cosy in winter.

The space
Many guests tell us that that they wish they had booked for longer as Kōtare Cottage offers more than 'just a lovely place to sleep'. You will have access to 3 acres of landscaped grounds, which include a children's play area and a small but beautiful forested corner. Kōtare Cottage is well placed to ensure guests privacy. At the same time we are never far away and happy to offer assistance when required. Nearby visitor highlights include Canopy Tours, Wingspan, Paradise Valley and Mitai Māori Village. If you are a bird-lover you will find in the cottage a "Falcons Return Bird Book", which has photos and descriptions of the 23 birds you are likely to encounter during your stay.

Where you’ll be

Ngongotaha Valley, Bay Of Plenty, New Zealand

Our property, which we call Falcons Return, is located in the Ngongotaha Valley, famed worldwide for its trout stream. Even though you won't be aware of neighbours, we are very much part of a rural community of farmers and lifestylers.
