This Sunset Beach condo lies on a private sandy beach just a few feet away from the brilliant turquoise waters of the Caribbean. It boasts breathtaking views of the sea and reef from your balcony, a beautiful pool with covered gazebo and grilling facilities, and a private pier!

The space

This condo is large with 2 bedrooms, loft, 2 baths, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room and a large balcony facing the beach.

Amenities include central air conditioning, ceiling fans, complimentary high speed wireless internet, cable TV, Italian tiled floors, 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, a loft with 2 twin beds and a sleeper sofa in the living area. We've got bikes to get you in and out of San Pedro, and kayaks in which to explore the waters. Hammocks and lounge chairs hand-carved from the local water resistant hardwood abound the property. Beach towels provided.

Most visitors to Ambergris Caye are lured there by the water. This is no surprise! Belize is home to the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and therefore most people come to take advantage of the superior diving and snorkeling sites found close by - the Blue Hole, Hol Chan Reserve, Mexico Rocks and more. Sunset Beach is fortunate to have an excellent guiding service, Suya Tours, located directly behind the condominium complex.

Guest access

Sunset Beach is located 2.5 miles south of the town of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, on a beautiful, tranquil 200 foot stretch of beach. This privately owned condo complex (12 condos) with its private pier, was listed as one of the ten best places to stay on Ambergris Caye by the editor of Belize First Magazine. It is close enough to San Pedro to enjoy its amenities and nightlife, yet far enough away to feel as if you are the only one on the island! San Pedro is darling - funky and laid-back, with numerous markets, restaurants and venues for great music. There is easy access to and from town by golf cart, taxi or bicycle. You could even walk for a bit of exercise! (~40 minutes)

Sunset Beach was a great location for our stay on Amgergris Caye. Loved having access to bikes, kayaks and pool. Clean and comfortable and the caretaker was very helpful. Easy golf cart to anything. Mini grocery around the corner. Would definetly go back.

This place was fantastic, very clean , very relax and perfect location. Everybody is very nice . I didn't have the opportunity to meet Cathy because she was not in Belize but she answered all the questions that I had in my mind. She help me with all the process until the end. I recommend this place a 100% !!

What a GREAT first trip to San Pedro!! We wanted a "disconnect and relax" weekend and that is what we got at Heaven on the Beach. Had a little communication challenge with getting the cab from the water taxi worked out but it ended up taking all of 5 minutes to get straight. Cathy was the perfect host - she stayed in constant communication to make sure every need was being met. We are already talking about our next trip to "Heaven". The condo location was outstanding - and every picture shown is 100% accurate

The photos honestly don't do this place justice. It was by far more beautiful there than I thought it was going to be. Everyone was genuinely nice and helpful and answered any questions we had. I've never felt so welcome. We had so much fun riding bikes through town, kayaking and swimming in the pool. We had a very large group and not all of us arrived on the same day, but Cathy walked us through everything prior to our arrival and it all worked out exactly as she said it would. She's very knowledgeable about this little island. It was an amazing experience. We'd all love to stay at this place again.

Checking in was perfect and was able to check in early which was great. The place was exactly how it says it is and looks in the pictures. I loved how quiet and relaxing it was during the day to lay out by the pool and enjoying a nice bbq at night.

The access to the beach was excellent, and the amount of beds and way that they were set up was great for a couple families or a group of friends!

My home base is in Tucson, Arizona, close to the Mexican border and a culture that is very close to my heart. My love of Latin culture and the Spanish language was inspired by my Mexican grandmother. I have traveled extensively in Mexico, Central America and Colombia. I have been a hiking guide in the southwest (including the Grand Canyon) since 2000 and currently operate a guiding company in the Copper Canyon region of Mexico, home to the world renowned Tarahumarans.

From Reef to Ruins
I am enamored with Ambergris Caye and Cartagena and hope the enthusiasm is contagious!
Most visitors are attracted to Belize for the water. The Caribbean offers innumerable opportunities for exploration. Belizean waters boast a myriad of amazing sea creatures, among them the incredible, huge and docile manatee. This beautiful giant is everywhere threatened, but Belize boasts the largest number of remaining manatees in the world. Explore the water from diving and snorkeling to simply hanging out on the beach!
As amazing as the water is, what I find particularly appealing is the multi ethnicity of Ambergris Caye. One can stroll from one end of a street in San Pedro and hear not only English, the official language, but Spanish, Belizean creole and several dialects of Mayan. Want to pick up another language? Here’s your opportunity! People are open, friendly and kind.
Cartagena is a city like no other. Stroll aimlessly the streets of this World Heritage Site with a mind to simply "take it all in". There is so much history in this city! From forts and beautiful colonial buildings, to great restaurants and museums, the Old Walled City has it all. And of course there is the wall itself and the sea!
As in Belize, the Colombians are unbelievably friendly and the Cartageneros particularly so. The Caribbean openness and "laid back" culture infuse everyone and everything. Shop for a few days in the local supermarket, and you'll be having little old ladies asking your advice on which cut of meat to buy!
