Cris' brother met us upon arrival and showed us around. He taught us how to make coffee in the moka and left us with fresh vegetables he had just picked out of the garden. The views from the farmhouse are spectacular. Nestled in the Tuscan hills with winding roads to get there. All make for a truly Tuscan experience. We loved it.

We had a great stay at Chris´place in Vaiano. She made us feel very welcomed. The house was bigger then we expected and the view was nicer. We loved the pool, and the place around. A little cold water, but that was because it was October. I was clean and quiet. We thought you need a car to get around.

The house was exactly as pictured and it was fantastic! Cris had a baby crib and high chair ready for us upon arrival which was a huge help having a 10 month old. Check in was easy and she was very responsive to any questions we had. The view from our terrace was spectacular! The pool isn't heated so it needs to be rather warm to be able to swim, but I found it rather refreshing and really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside I found were the Jurassic sized insects. It's the country though and a trade off for the peace and relaxation you can find here. We cooked a lot while there and made use of the wood burning bbq and the kitchen is well equipped. Thank you for our stay Cris it was great!!

We had 4 days in Tuscany and it was amazing. We didnt stray far from the accomodation as we had all we needed. The gardens are lovely and although it rained while we were there it was still so pleasant and peaceful. Would highly recommend. There were 9 of us and we fit comfortably.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Vaiano at the farmhouse. Ricardo was a wonderful host, very hospitable and nice, even brought us fresh figs from his tree nearby. The view was amazing and the pool delightful! If we could, we would have stayed there another week!

What a fabulous stay at this farmhouse outside Vaiano, Italy! Cris was wonderful to work with throughout the entire experience from booking to arrival and departure. She and her extended family were incredibly gracious, welcoming, and friendly people who all helped to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The farmhouse is located about 40 minutes from Florence in the quiet Tuscan countryside. It is built on a hill overlooking the village of Vaiano with the mountains in the distance. It was such a welcome change from the busy, bustling city of Rome (our prior location on our trip). The house itself is rustic, but with all the necessary modern amenities. We spent little time in the house -- mainly to sleep in the three very comfortable bedrooms. Most of our time was spent on the back deck overlooking the pool and mountains, cooling off in the pool, or lounging poolside. There were a couple of other families staying in other houses while we were there but it never felt crowded and, in fact, the kids all played together and had a great time! (The pool, by the way, is exactly what you see in the gorgeous pictures. The water is clear and refreshing, and the view is amazing!!!) We took the train from Vaiano in to Florence once and wandered around the iconic city. But this was the end of a long and tiring holiday and we were happiest just lounging by the pool and relaxing. Cris and her family helped. One insignificant problem with a water-heater was instantaneously fixed as soon as I mentioned it. And Cris gave us an amazing dinner recommendation. A car is pretty essential if you are going to stay here. Having one allows you to zip into town to buy groceries and will also allow you the freedom to explore the many Tuscan villages that make this region of the world so remarkable. If you are looking for a relaxing place to unwind -- a place with character, charm, and beauty -- then you would be hard-pressed to find something this nice! I so very hope we can make it back again!
