Sleep well in our rustic bunkhouse with one bunk bed. On our farm nestled in the beautiful Platte River valley we raise organic as well as conventional crops. Perfect for those who love a country setting and fresh, clean air. Wonderful view of the sky and nearby hills. Plenty of space for relaxing walks.
Our property is located about 3 miles north of I-80. NOTE: Upon booking, please refer to the directions in Guest Resources! GPS will mislead you; apparently our house number is a bit 'off'.

The space
This is a bunkhouse circa 1930 that we found abandoned in the pasture, missing windows and door. We "rescued" it and added a bathroom and porch.
Here's what you get : Bunk bed with twin mattresses. Fresh bedding, of course! Line-dried, weather permitting.
Bathroom with shower. (Water heater is 6 gal with a 30 min recovery time if completely drained). There is a heater and an AC unit. Screened window. Coffee maker, coffee, water bottles.

Breakfast is provided! We bring it to you on a tray at the time of your choice (from 7 to 10). Typical menu : individual egg/sausage soufflé, pesto egg sandwich, scones or blueberry muffins and French press (fresh-ground) coffee or hot tea. I also offer a delicious baked oatmeal as a variation.

Comfy hammock is entirely yours for the stay, as well as fire ring, picnic table, and chairs. Firewood provided. Wi-fi available only in our home (porch, deck) on premises. My husband, Jonathan, and I and our friendly labs, Pierre and Elsa, welcome you!

Guest access
Plenty of parking space. Wander to your heart's content on our field trails!

Other things to note
Note : Our place is in the mountain time zone. It can be confusing since we are only ten miles west of the line.

Paxton, Nebraska, United States

We are situated about 35 miles west of North Platte; 20 miles east of Ogallala. Paxton is the small town three miles to our south, just off I-80. It offers a grocery store, 2 restaurant/bars, post office, bank, library and hardware store, as well as Anne-Marie's, a charming coffee/gift shop.

Jonathan and I have a love for getting to know people and for serving them. Globe trotting is something we also enjoy, but often we travel instead through the folks we meet. Life's road gets us dusty at times. If you leave our place more restful in body -and spirit- then we are glad!
