About this listing

This is an elegant and spacious suite (bedroom, bathroom and study). The study leads to a private patio. The suite can be accessed via the front door or by a private entrance. We provide a breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, scone, coffee or tea.

The space

The spacious bedroom is furnished with Arts and Crafts furniture. There is a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and the study has a built-in, cushioned sleeping bench which can accommodate one adult or two children. An Aerobed is available as well. There is a microwave and a small refrigerator in the study.

Guest access

The suite can be accessed through the front door or by a private entrance in the rear of the house. (We discourage use of the private entrance at night because parts of the walkway are poorly lighted.)

Interaction with guests

This varies from guest to guest. We like to give an orientation to the house and are happy to make restaurant recommendations.

Other things to note

We serve a breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh-baked scones or muffins, and coffee or tea. (There is a French press and gourmet coffee in the study.)

Paul and his family are lovely. Beautiful place, private rooms, lovely little breakfast- which was so nice of them. Perfect location if you are going to be in/around Middlebury.

Paul and Mary were welcoming and gracious hosts. The room is exactly as described and the space is lovely and clean. A delicious breakfast of croissants, fresh fruit and yogurt was quietly left outside our door with a note. They had fun restaurant recommendations and were good conversationalists. I would recommend this location and room to everyone.

Paul's place is super lovely. Great hosts with spacious suite looking out on their lovely lawn. Coffee and light breakfast. Felt welcomed but had lots of space. Convenient walk to co-op, village downtown, and Middlebury campus.

This is a fabulous home and the owners gave us an incredibly warm and kind welcome. The room is beautiful, clean, has a gorgeous view and access to a lovely outside patio. There was a setup for hot drinks with several selections and milk in the fridge for us. In the morning we were given fresh-baked muffins with fruit, coffee, tea - it was so very nice. Highly recommended.
