The space
Oceanpoint is situated in an elevated position on Sandy lane, providing an excellent vantage point and views to Woolacombe Bay. The apartment enjoys a good sized balcony that faces south west to the beach. Privacy is maintained between balconies and apartments with staggered arrangement in the plan.

UNLIMITED 'business grade' WiFi that maintains speed despite the number of users.

Environmentally friendly top of the range Eco heat exchange system which draws heat form underground. (the heat exchange units are in the car park - look a bit like Air conditioning units but there is no Air Con in the apartments).

Also to note, as there is no gas only electric power serving the apartment block so please do not be worried that air bnb amenities cite no CO detector.

THE APARTMENT PLAN
The design style is contemporary responding to the physical attributes of the site. The apartment has its own car parking space beneath the building The Eastern elevation contains entrance courtyards and a concave glazed elevation for outdoor equipment such as surfboards and bikes. The building is organised as six units on plan, on four floors, divided horizontally at mid height to create 12 duplex apartments all accessible from a passenger lift direct from the car park.

No 2 is one of the largest lower duplex apartments and enjoys a very spacious patio that has direct views to the beach

The village of Woolacombe is nestled in the valley leading down to Woolacombe bay and offers a picturesque and traditional setting for visitors and residents to enjoy. With its dramatic coastline and pristine stretch of golden sand, Woolacombe Beach has been named the best beach in the UK. The bay consists of a three-mile stretch of the beach and holds the coveted "Blue Flag" for the quality of the water in the area. Woolacombe Bay is one of the United Kingdom's premier coastal beach destinations.

The dog freindly beach offers a perfect location for traditional water sport activities. It offers a reef break that produces splendid waves, a surfer's paradise all-year round and a haven for families enjoying beach holidays and safe 'rockpooling'.

Apartment 2 is approximately 83 square meters (896 square feet) with a patio circa an additional 25 square meters (270 square feet). The accommodation is arranged over two floors and enjoys delightful views across the village towards the golden sand beaches, Baggy Point and the Atlantic Ocean. To take advantage of the large patio the living accommodation is located on the lower floor which comprises an extremely spacious stunning living room, kitchen and dining area stretching across the whole front of the apartment with the south west sea facing 'glass wall'. There is direct access out on to a large south facing patio deal for sun loungers and 'al-fresco' dining. On the upper floor, master bedroom enjoys floor to ceiling glass and the open views across the bay and direct access on to a balcony as well as an en-suite shower room. There is ample space in the twin room, with two full 3ft single beds. and a good sized separate family bathroom.

No disposable BBQ's please - these are a big Fire risk and cause irreparable damage to surfaces

To be helpful and for the avoidance of doubt, we supply one set of linen and towels for the number of guests booked. For those guests who book for longer than a week, a linen changeover can be agreed for an additional price and if this additional service would be welcome please do le us know in advance of your stay.

Note, BT is the sole supplier of broadband services in Woolacombe and as widely publicised some of the new sony devices (particularly Xperia) have problems connecting with BT hubs. If you have a sony device it is recommended that you research in advance if any software patches have been made available and downloaded on your device.

Other things to note
There is a 2m height restriction to the underground car park entrance. This is fine for almost all cars and SUV's but guests need to be aware that high roof racks and roof boxes may need to be unloaded prior to entering the car park.

Woolacombe Bay is a three mile stretch of golden sand at the bottom of a valley. To the west Baggy Point cliffs and to the North East Morte point frame the beach. Nearby attractions include the following: Ilfracombe: A fine Victorian seaside resort with something to do whatever the weather all year round Tarka Cycle trail: National Cycle Network,Devon Coast Route 27. This is a wonderfully scenic circular route on the North Devon coast and takes in two superb traffic free sections, the National Trust coast route beside the sea at Woolacombe Sands and the former railway path from Ilfracombe to Willingcott Cross. The remainder is along attractive minor roads through quiet villages and rolling Devon farmland.Lee Bay: This picturesque village is situated in a deep combe, heavily wooded in places. The small rocky cove with its many rock pools and small sandy beach remains a tranquil spot even in the height of summer.Lee is often referred to locally as 'Fuchsia Valley' during the flowering season, many of the village hedgerows are ablaze with the scarlet flowers. Morthoe: A calm cliff-top village with spectacular views less than a mile from Woolacombe, Mortehoe is listed in the Doomsday Book and has a number of interesting features including a rare barrel-roofed thirteenth-century church. Visit the Cart Linhay Heritage Centre which gives a glimpse of Old Morte and the days when smugglers lured ships onto the rocks. Mortehoe is surrounded by wonderful scenery, much of it part of the Voluntary Marine Conservation Area, which is a haven for wild flowers and animals which fill the area with colour and movement. Above the rugged beaches stand the hill-sides and cliff-tops along which walkers can explore the wonderful scenery which is part of the South West Coat Path Barnstaple: Barnstaple is the commercial centre of the region, combining sophisticated High Street shopping with the bustling atmosphere of markets and speciality shops. It is a haven for food lovers with its array of quality bakeries, fish-mongers, cheese sellers and butchers. Its many restaurants offer something for everyone. An habitual winner of 'Britain in Bloom' each summer the town is a wash with a cascade of colour, as the beautiful floral displays compete for your attention.
