Location

Portland, Maine, United States

Fantastic location. We have lived here for 17 years. Portland's East End is dynamic. There are amazing markets, diverse restaurants, cafes, breweries, galleries, museums, theaters, shops, parks, book stores, bars, trails to walk/jog/bike, and even a little beach. Yeah, I could go on. Walk down the hill and you'll pass the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal, Maine State Pier, and find yourself in the Old Port. Countless venues for live music (check listings!), restaurants, museums, and unique shops. We are happy to direct you to favorite local spots.

I am an artist/ designer/ contractor and have lived in Portland for 25+ years. This city offers many of the things I love: salt air, diverse & creative people, music, museums, theater, galleries, good food, great beer, beaches, boats, woods, and roller derby. Some of these things are paused for social distancing but locals need support. Life has changed dramatically in these Pandemic times and we are doing our best to adapt. We are taking precautions to protect ourselves and our guests. All are welcome.

This is an owner occupied two unit building. Your host has a small art studio adjacent to the main entrance and you may find her working as you come and go. The apartment is self contained and unless any problems arise, guests will be independent and host will reciprocate respect for privacy. Host will be nearby or available by phone. Having lived in Portland for many years, your host is happy to suggest the best spots in town whether its fine dining/ dive bars/ or nature walks you are after. We are an easy going family, fun loving and happy to share our canoe, or local adventure tips.
