County Wexford, Ireland

Oyster Bay is set on the western side of Bannow Bay on The Hook Peninsula. Known for its beauty and abundance of wildlife, it is arguably Irelands top Bass fishing spot. Walking distance: Pub with play area and BBQ area 2.5 km. Tintern Abbey with Walled Garden and Café is 2.5km. Driving/Cycling nearest villages with amenities are 7.5 km offering a supermarket, petrol station, award wining restaurants, cafés, hairdressers, beauticians, massage healing centre, outdoor adventure centre, bike rentals, pubs and playgrounds. The Peninsula also has Europe's oldest operational lighthouse, The Hook Lighthouse and Irelands most haunted house, Loftus Hall both which offer tours, though some are seasonal. As a part of Irelands Ancient East the area abounds in points of archaeological and historical interest from Cistercian Abbeys, Norman Fortifications, Napoleonic Towers to Modern history JFK Homestead, Park and Arboretum and The Dunbrody Famine Ship. Finally, the Peninsula offers 14 spectacular sandy beaches, where you can surf, kayak, have a paddle or just play in the beautiful golden sand.

We are a family with 4 children. My husband and I own and operate an oyster farm on the south east coast. We enjoy camping and would tour Ireland, UK and France in out campervan. We enjoy exploring our destination and indulging in local culture services and cuisine. As a family of 6 our ideas of holidays are very different but we always agree it must be coastal and we try to stay away from hotels as much as possible (just too many people!)
