If you are thinking of booking this place, don't hesitate. It's so beautiful, clean, and imaginatively designed. We stayed for 4 nights, and loved every minute. Nina is a fantastic host. Had great communication, and left us lots of info on Gent.

ADORABLE. From the second we walked in to the last minutes before leaving, we couldn't stop admiring the beauty of the place. It is just perfect. The tram stop it literally in front of the door. Though, The city center is so close that sometimes we preferred to walk than wait for the next tram. Nina is a generous accommodating host. Always reachable and doing her best to meet our every wish. If I have to think of something negative to say, you occasionally hear the tram passing by. But I would be nitpicking and it is not loud or annoying. In conclusion, the place is awesome. So awesome that I was taking photos of the place to remember it by. I would visit Ghent again just to stay in this place. Oh, Ghent is also pretty cool BTW!

We had such a lovely time staying in this really gorgeous apartment. Nina is a great host, friendly, very helpful , and very well informed, we were on a cycling tour and arrived later than planned, Nina was really accommodating and we were able to store our bikes safely for the whole of a our stay. The location is a perfect stroll into central old Ghent and the apartment a beautifully designed haven that had everything we needed to relax and cook.

Nina's place looked good on the photos but in real life it's even better. The space is so well thought out and balanced that it exudes a calm all of its' own. Nina was super friendly and really wanted to help make the most of our time in her home town of Ghent - which was just beautiful - we can see why Nina is so proud to live there. When we arrived, on time thanks to excellent directions, we were given the guided tour of the apartment and left with local beer and chocolates as well as lots of information on places to eat, drink and hunt for bargains in flea markets. We hadn't realised until the final morning that the bikes were there for us to use - that was a shame as it would have been fun cycling round - as there are no cars other than taxis, and trams of course in the centre, the cycling looked very safe - with lots of families making the most of it. So great food, great architecture, great host, great apartment and even better bed and bedding! I normally sleep 6 hours - I slept for 8 on the first night! OK, this may be something to do with poor sleep the previous two nights, and maybe one too many beers, but I'm sure the bed accounted for at least an hour extra indulgence! So, if you're heading to Ghent, do yourself a favour and book into Nina's at No 59. When we return, we will be doing, that's for sure.

I was a little worried about the ventilation problem after seeing the review before me but we didn't seem to have as much of an issue, perhaps because it wasn't quite as hot when we were there. Nina was very kind and welcoming and her guidebooks were very helpful. This is also a great location, just a short walk away from the castle, and use of the bikes was great. That being said, I did see that it could be improved with ventilation because it did get a little stuffy and opening the sliding door to air it out brought in some bugs. This is the only reason I gave it four stars. A screen door and a fan in the room would be great additions.

Nina is a sweet host and welcome her visitors very well. The flat correspond to the pictures, well equipped and close to the city center. The location is great also for its tram station (line 1) direct to the train station. Nina provide bikes to visit the city! this is really enjoyable. The stay was truly nice, I recommend it very much.
