Historic mansion house steeped in history. Oliver Cromwell used this house as his base for the Battle of Dunbar and the Siege of Edinburgh. There is a Roman ruin in the garden dating from 150 AD from the settlement in Inveresk. The house is surrounded by garden and woodland and filled with art, music and a collection of interesting period pieces. Plenty of off street parking and you can walk to a bus stop to get into Edinburgh. Local shopping in Musselburgh is within walking distance.

Alice and John Chute offer a friendly environment and are very helpful offering information on what to do, how to get where you want to be and where to eat. It is a house filled with music and art and the 3 acres grounds offer a peaceful place to retreat. .
