Cozy, recently built, genuine log cabin located on a private wooded lot 300 ft off the highway alongside Sydney River.

The space
The cottage is 10 minutes from downtown Sydney, 20 minutes to the Newfoundland ferry, 35 minutes to the Fortress of Louisbourg and the Louisbourg Playhouse with it's fabulous nightly entertainment. You can reach the Miners Museum in 25 minutes or The Alexander Graham Bell Museum and the beginning of the Cabot Trail in Baddeck in 1 hour. The Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club, Seaview Golf & Country Club & Lingan Golf Clubs are all within 15-20 minutes away. Fabulous restaurants such as Governors, Flavor on the Water (where the Big Fiddle resides) and Trio are located on the Sydney waterfront, a 10 minute drive. A 5 minute drive to grocery stores, the Ugly Mug coffee shop, Tim Hortons, Walmart, Rudderham’s Source for Sports store, drug stores, NS Liquor Corporation, Best of Cape Breton Gift Shop and many others. The entire cottage on it's own little peninsula is yours to enjoy.

The cabin is located on it’s own little wooded peninsula. Walking to the end and sides of the peninsula you can expect a view of a tiny island, a beavers dam, plenty of ducks and frequent sighting of eagles. Homes in our residential area of Howie Centre border across the water on one side.
