Bath is a 5 minute drive away with its beautiful Georgian architecture, the famous Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, Theatre Royal and many fabulous restaurants and bars as well as a wealth of independant shops and the world famous Christmas Market.

Dyrham Park (National Trust) is just 4 miles down the road. The ancient deer park, 17th-century house and garden where an historic herd of fallow deer roams freely in the 270 acres (110 hectares) of ancient parkland, full of magnificent trees and breathtaking views. It's a great day out for children who can run free in the Old Lodge picnic and play area, take part in a nature trail and tick off challenges on their 50 things list.

The Georgian town of Frome is about a 20 minute drive and is renowned for its monthly market. The Frome Independent is an award winning, destination street market showcasing the best independent craftspeople, designers, makers, producers and traders in the South West.
