Renovated, private entry, forest - studio apt is unique, cozy, angled, loaded, zen, quiet, modern & swanky. Ten min to town & ferry. Thirty min to Seattle. Trails. Dog friendly. Cable & high speed WIFI. Deck & Grill. Books, Movies, Music… You'll love it!

The space

The layout is a modern treehouse; the angles and ceiling height echoes the trees in which is sits. The colors are soothing. Every inch of space is utilized so it embraces you in a cozy, calming way.

Trails behind the TreeHouse lead to a very quiet street with farms, a forest reserve. A half mile walk leads to a small commercial corner featuring the beloved "Bay Hay & Feed", a nursery/feed store/gift shop/and mini REI! There's also a P.O., coffee shop, Jiffy Mart, and amazing Italian market with homemade pasta & sauces.

Guest access

I usually leave the door open for my guests since this is a safe, private, rural neighborhood. If its not open, use the lockbox

Interaction with guests

I live next door in the main house, about a hundred feet away, attached by a covered wood end breezeway. So I'm here for my guests if needed. I enjoy meeting people so don't hesitate to say hello. If I'm around, I'll stop by and show you the ropes, and answer any questions I can.

Other things to note

WA State and local occupancy taxes total 11%. This is not listed as a line item, but is reflected in the nightly rate. * Actual rates are $115 weeknights & $125 Friday & Saturday.

* Recent cancellations on my part were an anomaly due to fallen tree damage. The building is being renovated and ready again Summer 2016.

Keith's tree house is perfect for a getaway weekend. The prior reviews lived up to our expectations. It was the ultimate place to unwind and relax. My wife and I loved the coziness. The tree house has a nice layout and a great vibe to it. Keith was very good at communicating local places to eat and he let our dog play with his two dogs. Get value, great location, and great host. If were back in Seattle next year we will be back.

Keith is a super host! His place is comfortable, private and has a well stocked kitchen and an eclectic library. The house is ergonomically designed with stylish interiors. A perfect getaway for couples! Keith takes special care of all comforts for his guests and provides information about the island and attractions personally. He is a fantastic human being and a great friend. His lovely dogs Bodhi and Tula made our stay more fun. We had a amazing time at Keith's and would love to visit our friend again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse Studio. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 kids, which is a bit more than the place is designed to accommodate, but it actually worked out fine. The sleeping arrangements were good for our larger group, since there is the upper loft with a comfortable queen bed plus plenty of floor space for the kids. The pull out couch on the lower/ main level was not very comfortable and we used our blow up mattress after the first night. Because we had good weather we were able to use the deck seating and BBQ which were wonderful. It would have been difficult for our group to use the indoor table which is ideal for 2-3 people. Our children enjoyed the paths through the woods, the swing set at Keith's house and the ladder to the loft. The adults enjoyed the well stocked accomodations and private setting. So much better than staying at a hotel! We also really enjoyed visiting Fay Bainbridge Park up the road and the fresh pasta and sauce from the Italian market/ restaurant, Via Rosa 11, nearby.

This studio is very secluded and a nice couple getaway. The outside deck is a nice addition and good space for morning coffee or dinner. Keith has a propane grill on the deck as well. My husband and I are older and you do have to climb a ladder to get to the loft where the bed is for sleeping. If you are good with this then you will enjoy having the little sleeping alcove. There is a queen sleep sofa as well so that is an option to the ladder. Keith is very helpful and provided good advice on the area. Very clean and well maintained.

This is a beautiful little cabin in a forest of giant fir trees and ferns. Feels secluded but is a very short drive to great shops and dining.

We had a wonderful time at the treehouse. The host was very hospitable and the home was very cozy. The pictures do it no justice. The house is unbelievable and must be seen.

Response from Keith:
I'm so glad you feel recharged Regina. My only regret is not getting acquainted, but I appreciate your invitation should I get to Las Vegas! Thank you!

I am a single father of three daughters and two cute smaller dogs named Tula & Bodhi. My line of work is advertising photography and cinematography, something I've done my entire life. I'm great with putting people at ease, so naturally, I specialize in photographing and directing people. I love to be active and adventurous, to cook AND eat!, ride my bike or motorcycle, and spend quality time with my kids. As my guest, I'm here to help you enjoy your visit. I'm a very friendly guy who loves people, but who respects their desire for privacy.
