Where you’ll be

Denbighshire, Wales, United Kingdom

The small friendly town of Corwen is historically important as the 14th Century Welsh hero Owain Glyndwr rallied his troops here and lived in the hills locally.
Within walking distance of Plas Derwen, Corwen has a variety of places to eat including pubs, take-aways, and an award winning Indian restaurant. A short car journey will take you to village pubs and restaurants, including Tyddyn Llan, which is Michelin starred, in the village of Llandrillo and Rhug organic 'Bison' restaurant a mile outside of Corwen.
A little further away Llangollen has a large choice of places to eat.
In Corwen there are coffee shops, a craft centre, hairdressers, convenience store, Post Office and ATM. There is a gym and swimming pool; walks to Caer Drewen hillfort, to the river Dee and into the forest above Corwen.
