Welcome to The Tropicaravan! We can't guarantee tropical weather but we can guarantee a bright stay! Situated in the beautiful rolling hills of North Wales and with spectacular views of the Snowdonia mountain range, it is the ideal base for your rural getaway.

The space
The Tropicaravan is situated in the grounds of our smallholding so not on a busy caravan site - perfect for those who just want to get away from it all. There are fabulous views of the Snowdonia mountain range from our fields (which you're welcome to explore), and the deck provides the perfect space for a BBQ (provided) or a cold glass of wine in the evening. There is hardly any light pollution so on a clear night you'll see thousands of stars!

The caravan is spacious with a large dining/kitchen area and plenty of lounging space. There isn't any central heating but we provide cosy duvets, a fan fire in the living room and two portable heaters. There are hot water bottles too for those chillier evenings. There is a double bedroom and a cosy twin bedroom (the beds are short so ideal for people of 5'4" and under!). There's a fold out sofa bed in the lounge.

Safe lock ups for bikes and equipment is provided in our stables and parking is right next to the caravan. Most phone networks have signal and 3G/4G (except for EE) so you can stay in touch with the outside world (if you want to!).

Ideally located for activities such as cycling, mountain biking, horse riding (school is very nearby), fishing, walking, beach trips, zip wiring, cave trampolining, surfing, castle exploring and much more!

Guest access
Guests are welcome to explore our fields and take in the spectacular views and sunsets! There is a table tennis table in the stable (stable tennis!) which you're also welcome to use!

Sorry but we don't accept dogs due to the livestock in the surrounding fields.

Other things to note
To get to the caravan you have to drive along a bumpy track and over a couple of cattle grids. There are sheep in the fields so please take care when driving through them, and if a gate is closed then please close it behind you!

Check in and check out times can be flexible - please let us know your requirements.

Location

We love the rural location and stunning countryside views! It is incredibly peaceful here and the only noises you are likely to hear is the sheep, cows and very occasionally our peacock (Cocky!). On occasion the RAF fly planes through the valley on their training exercises but they usually disappear as soon as they come so it's only a very brief interruption of the peace (it's also pretty cool to see them!).

There are many activities just a short drive away so you'll never be bored! There's a fantastic local pub a ten minute drive away which does excellent food and takeaway fish and chips, pizzas and burgers (for those evenings when you just can't be bothered to cook!). There's a small shop in the local village which sells essentials. If there's anything you've forgotten please ask us and we may be able to help.

We recently moved to rural North Wales after living in London and working in the media for years. We love the outdoors and hope you enjoy the beauty of North Wales as much as we do!
