About this listing

Beautiful, cozy artist bungalow in the fabulous Fremont neighborhood. Gorgeous kitchen, incredible views from the front deck, easy parking, close to many major bus lines, free wifi, many top restaurants within walking distance.

The space

Hi there! This is house is truly a gem in the heart of Seattle's vibrant Fremont neighborhood. The open kitchen has plenty of natural light and a large counter top, great for cooking or turning it into your laptop office with views of the neighborhood. It has a cozy and colorful large living room/dining room area to read books, a visual treat with eclectic art and books for your enjoyment. The bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen size mattress below, and a full size mattress on top!

A note about the place: This charming bungalow was built in the 1930's, there are some of those quirks that you would expect to come along with an older place. The carpets in the bedrooms aren't brand new, there are a few scuffs in the hardwood floor. If what you are seeking is a modern/sleek, no-fleck-of-dust place, this won't be what you are looking for. It's not hotel-style sterile, so if you know that you need that as a traveler, I encourage you to find it! This place is a cozy, clean, come-as-you-are, let's have a glass of wine on the back deck, awesome sort of place. If there is anything you need during your stay here, anything at all - I encourage you to be upfront and ask ask ask away.

Guest access

There's a fabulous back deck from which you are welcome to enjoy views of the city. Though there's no tv, I have speakers to plug into your laptop. Wi-Fi for days. Washer/dryer, street parking.

Interaction with guests

I love to answer questions, give as much advice and helpful materials on the city as I can, and then step out of the way!

Other things to note

Linens and towels are provided. There is also a yoga mat for you to borrow. If you need any "extras" (toothbrush, floss, shampoo, eye mask, etc), please don't hesitate to ask!

Annie was very friendly and welcoming in her emails. I wish I'd been able to meet her in person. The location was very near my son's apartment so it was very convenient and the neighborhood was great!

This was a great place to stay. The house is beautiful and Annie provided us with clean towels and sheets. Fremont is a nice and vibrant part of the city; there are lots of bars, breweries and places to eat. It is also very easy to get to downtown Seattle from there, either by a car or the public transportation. I would recommend staying here and going for a drink in Fremont Brewery and an ice cream at the Fainting Goat.

I'm a Northwest native and have been traveling the country and globe for 20 years. Traveling is fantastic, and I know first hand some of the challenges that come along with it. It can be pricey, and sometimes you just want to cook your own food! I love providing an affordable alternative to a hotel - a cozy place for someone to call "home" while they are on the road.

I'm the owner/designer of a local jewelry business. I've got lots of great suggestions for galleries, openings, events happening around town!
