THE LOCATION
- Approx 12 min from the airport, 10 min from W. Midtown and downtown, 15-25 from Buckhead/Midtown.
- Close driving distance to all major city attractions and various hiking/outdoor activities.
- Our home is open to all cultures and LGBTQ.
- Your space is up a flight of stairs, and it's kept clean. Our space is downstairs and is usually messy.
- Cameras on the front door and in the kitchen. NO cameras upstairs in your space.
- Queen size bed, private bathroom, TV (with ChromeCast, no cable), mini fridge and free coffee.
- Private room but SHARED HOUSE.

PROPER EXPECTATIONS
- We are not available to talk after 9pm EST, so please read all check-in instructions before that time.
- Late check-ins are totally fine, but please read check-in instructions before 9pm.
- No early check-ins. No exceptions. FREE LUGGAGE STORAGE before check-in and after check-out is available.
- Other guests will be in the home during your stay.
NOISE POTENTIAL: We live two blocks from a train station. Sometimes our home is quiet as a mouse, other times you can hear the train, sirens, fireworks on holidays, dogs barking outside, our neighbors sometimes play loud music (although it’s rare).
- FLOORS AND WALLS: Our floors are creaky, and our walls are thin. Most of our guests are very quiet, but if you're highly sensitive to noise, please book elsewhere.
- DOG: Sometimes our 75-lb dog will be on the property. If you don’t like dogs, please don’t stay here.
- No kitchen or laundry use. Microwave is available upstairs in your space.
- NO COMMON AREAS + MESS: Guests come into the house through the first floor, which is where we live and it WILL be messy! We spend our energy keeping the upstairs (aka YOUR area) clean. If a messy downstairs will bother you, we kindly ask you book another home. There are no common areas available to guests. You’re booking a room and a bathroom only, and you can expect your area to be mess-free and clean.
SERVICE ANIMALS
- We have been given exemption by Airbnb. We cannot host service animals due to our own dog barking all night long if another animal is in the house. Our dog does not bark around humans, only around other animals.
INFO ABOUT TRANSPORTATION
- Plenty of free STREET parking.
- Uber/Lyft are great options. We advise against using taxis, as they don't know our area very well and some guests have had issues with them.
- The closest MARTA train station is a 13-minute walk or 3-minute car drive (with free parking at the station).
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
- It's mixed-income and mixed-ethnicity. If you're looking for brand new development in a fancy area, you've come to the wrong place. Our neighborhood is humble and quiet, and there are many areas that are still being developed.
- The surrounding area has some boarded-up houses, which makes people think our area is "sketchy." This usually comes from reviewers who are not used to downtown city life.
- Always use common sense and good judgment. Don't walk alone at night in the city and don't leave valuables in your car.
COVID PRECAUTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
- We are taking extra cleaning precautions. Please follow the check-out instructions posted in your welcome message and on the back of the door in your bedroom.
