Newly renovated 1,098 sq ft 2B/2B condo. 10'X24' lanai with new 6 place dining table. Central air, 65" smart TV, WiFi, Kawai piano, full size washer/dryer. 8 miles to Kona Int. Airport, shuttle available. 30+ restaurants & art galleries within walking distance. Kona Pier a block away, offers deep sea fishing, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle/surfboard rental and submarine rides. The absolute best vacation site in the heart of downtown Kona! The space
This is a rare 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with ice cold central air conditioning. Our large 10x24’ lanai is completely screened and has a new large dining table with 6-very comfortable padded chairs. We also have a washer and dryer, and all kitchen appliances, including a new stainless s/s refrigerator/freezer with ice & water in the door. There is also a reverse osmosis water filtration with dispenser at the kitchen sink.

Guest access
Guests can reach our home, Hale Ma Ke Kai, unit 209 using the elevator beside our unit. Our second floor home is handicapped accessible by elevator, and requires no stair climbing. The two bathrooms also have grab bars by the commodes for added safety. Guests have full use of all amenities at Kona Plaza, including the in ground swimming pool, roof-top ocean view picnic and barbecue area, elevators and under-ground, secure parking. The below ground parking garage has a security door that requires guests to enter a security code to enter the parking garage. There is no overnight parking at ground level for our guests. On arrival, go to the office, complete the "Visitor Registration Form" and give to the site manager Melissa Nahale. She will then issue a temporary parking pass to be displayed on the dash of your automobile. Office hours are M-F 8-4.

Other things to note
The state of Hawaii now requires all vacation rental unit owners to collect a 14% bed use tax. This is an additional payment that must be made at the time of reservation. After your confirmation, Airbnb will send a request for payment of the 14% TAT/GE tax. Please make this payment through the Resolution Center of Airbnb.

Located on Alii Drive in the heart of downtown Kona, our condo is just across the street from the ocean and Kona Harbor. Alii Drive is the ocean front street that offers many activities; including surfing, paddle-boarding, snorkeling, swimming, night time manta ray excursions, jet ski rental, parasailing, submarine rides, kayak rental, and many restaurants. The annual Kona Ironman Triathalon starts and finishes on Alii Drive, a block from our condo. The annual Billfish Tournament (September) is held in Kona Harbor, just across the street from our home.
