All our dwellings are in a young woodland planted by Tom and Andri twenty five years ago.
We are a smallholding with workshops, and a small community of like minded people. We try to live as environmentally friendly and sustainably with solar panels and a reed bed system, polytunnel, veg beds, dogs, hens and horses.
We do not provide duvet covers, pillow cases and towels. (if you require these please message us, for an additional charge of £40)

The space
A beautifully decorated furnished yurt set in a young mixed woodland. Relax in a circular space with the sound of the trees and birds and take time out from the world, ideally suited to couples.

There are some lovely low level walks around the pretty local villages. Local pubs and cafes provide good food, reasonably priced and good atmosphere. Venturing further, the far eastern Lake District fells are within 20min drive where you can enjoy all the Lake District has to offer without the crowds. The honey pot of Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are a short drive for a fun day out. The Pennines and Yorkshire Dales National Park is only a short drive in the opposite direction. The Eden valley north of Great Strickland is a hidden gem of pretty villages, rivers and stones circles to explore. It is a beautiful area filled with vistas and friendly people.

I am home based lover of mountains and wild swimming…on a 14 acre site, close to Lowther castle and Askham and Helton fells.
We set up a glamping site in 2017 in the woods we planted 25 years ago!
I'm married with three children, two daughters 34 and 20 and a son of 22.
We live a wild life on a farm with a few sheep, horses, a dog, hens and geese.
My husband heads his own Engineering business as well as juggling work here on the farm. We are both very green in our vision.
We grow lots of our own veg and fruit in our garden and polytunnels and have lots of fruit trees and shrubs.
In summer we have volunteers who help out in return for food and lodging.
I love gatherings where the gin and wine flow …and to dance around fires! We often go to see bands at weekends or have parties in the adjoining barn next to our house.
