Our rustic small place is located at the end of a quiet, peaceful lane and has unrestricted views of the Derryveagh Mountains in West Donegal. There are no street lights and it is four km from the nearest shop. It is immersed in nature and is suitable for people seeking peace and quiet who value wildlife and conservation. We have wifi but it is not reliable. Phone coverage in the lodge is limited.

The space
Our place is a small cottage with three rooms and a small bathroom with a toilet and electric shower. One bedroom has a small double bed and the second room has two single beds. Storage space is limited. It has its own entrance and parking area. It has its own small garden and outdoor eating area. We live next to the Lodge however both buildings are private and separate from each other.

Entire home, garden and parking. Please note that we live in a separate detached property next door.

We do not take bookings from guests under 18 unless they are accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian.
Parties are strictly forbidden. Guests will be asked to leave if this policy is not adhered to and no refund will be given.

Where you’ll be

County Donegal, Ireland

The cottage is located in a very rural area near small sheep farms and bogland. It is a five minute drive to the nearest shop and pub, 10 minutes to the nearest beach and twenty minutes to Dunfanaghy which has a surf school, many restaurants and pubs. It is surrounded by the Derryveagh Mountains so there are endless hill walking possibilities. Sea cliffs and sea stacks are a twenty minute drive away for those interested in rock climbing. There are also numerous water-based activity options on the many rivers, lakes and the Atlantic Ocean. Our place is also the base of Unique Ascent, an adventure company run by Iain Miller who specialises in rock climbing, sea cliff climbing and sea stack climbing.
