WARNING: Sarah and her "female" fiancé were not the best guests that I have hosted. They were not the most friendly or outgoing guests that I have hosted either . It was really a tense and uncomfortable situation hosting people who are not friendly or even respectful of you or your space. They complained that my guests are eating their food, this is such a blatant lie that I cannot even fathom. My guests who stayed there simultaneously ate out most of the time and had snacks in their room so it was preposterous to even suggest that they were eating their food. With respect to ants in the kitchen, this is Long Island and for some reason the ants appear for short periods every summer, regardless of how many times I try to get rid of them they return. I assure you that ants were confined to the kitchen only. Any suggestion that they were anywhere else was a blatant lie. I asked my guests to put their food items in the garbage cans outside, had they followed house rules this would have deterred the ants. I am happy to report that the ants have run their course and at the time of this report there are zero ants. This is Long Island people, ants appear every year and they leave shortly there after. With respect to cameras, yes I do have one camera in the living room which came with the security system. I installed those cameras long before Airbnb hosting began because I wanted to ensure the safety of my son and myself who are the only occupants of the home. I make no excuses or apologies for that. If you have a problem with the camera in the living room then one would think you have devious and nefarious intentions and want to hide something. If any one reads my profile they would be made aware of my rules and my expectations. Yes, I expect my guests to use the items and put them back in place while maintaining cleanliness. If I have reason to point out to you that you left an area dirty, then take it in good grace and avoid doing that again. I didn't think this is something to take offense for. I have a washer but not a dryer--it is your choice to use it or not. if you don't want to hang your clothes in the basement there are dozens of laundromat that can be used. I can't say that his couple was the cleanest that I have hosted, in fact they have left a lot to be desired. They were unfriendly and discourteous. It is one thing to be introverted and another to be courteous. if you are living in someone's house the least you can do is say hello. After all this is someone's home not a hotel. They left the room in the most despicable condition. Potential guests--check all my reviews, judge for yourselves. This is the only couple/guests who have negative comments. Is it me or is it them? As the saying goes: "Two million Frenchmen cannot be wrong." One thing I know for sure is that I would never want to host this couple again or others of like mind.
