This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.

Classic kiwi-style bach, perfect for your coastal New Zealand holiday! Prime location to the beach (5 minute walk), a great local coffee spot (10 minute walk) and a quick drive or walk into town. The property features a large backyard, a solar heated outdoor shower, and a spacious covered deck, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor living comfortably, even in wet weather.

The space
The home catches the sun all day with a great entertaining deck off the living area and a sun deck off the rear of the two main bedrooms. Enjoy an outdoor shower oasis with solar heated water.

Guest access
The family friendly beach is great to enjoy, surfing, swimming and most other water sports. Good fishing is just off the beach and a boat ramp 8km away.

Waihi Beach Village shops are close by (1km) and offer conveniences including a bakery, 4 square supermarket, cafes and restaurants, bottle store and butcher, as well as retail and health stores.

Our favourite coffee spot is Beach Road Deli, a short 10 minute walk towards the main end of Waihi beach. There’s a dairy within the same block that offers the best fish and chips!!

The stunning walk to Orokawa Bay through the scenic reserve is a must for nature lovers with beautiful NZ native bush and the isolated golden sands of the bay.

In summer, you’ll find a real fruit ice cream cart down Brighton Road on the reserve. A kiwi classic!!

A short drive away through to the Karangahake gorge has spectacular walks through the historic mining area including a cycle trail. Nearby you can sample wines or enjoy a lunch at the Ohinemuri Estate winery.

Other things to note
You may hear a siren during your stay in Waihi Beach. Not to panic this is usually to signal an emergency call for the local volunteer fire brigade, alerting them to fires or serious accidents.
