1 well behaved dog welcome,

The space
Meadowsweet's soft lime washed beams make it light and airy, whilst the wood burner and underfloor heating beneath the brick floor make it a perfect cosy retreat.
The private south facing back garden is not overlooked by neighbours. There is an antique French dining table with 4 chairs and a large parasol to give shade if needed. Additional outdoor easy chairs are found in the adjoining brick shed.
We welcome well- behaved dogs. The garden is fenced on all sides and is completely dog proof.

Some of our guests ask to extend their departure time to 6 pm, please inquire before your stay.

We provide Egyptian cotton sheets and fresh towels, hand soap and shower gel for our guests. Both bedrooms have thermostatically controlled radiators.
There is very good wifi connection at the cottage and Free Netflix is available for you to watch on the TV.
The location offers a wonderful setting in the Suffolk Countryside, yet is only a 25-minute drive to Southwold and the Suffolk Coast via the market town of Halesworth, whilst the castle towns of Bungay, Eye and Framlingham are all within easy reach.
The charm of Meadowsweet is reflected in the care and attention given to the design of the cottage, which has the benefit of both a kitchen/dining room and a separate sitting room with a cosy wood-burning stove set into a large inglenook fireplace. The kitchen has modern appliances and is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, electric oven and induction hob, microwave oven, Dualit toaster and Tassimo coffee machine. An additional small fridge and a washer/dryer are available in the utility room. There is a good range of cooking utensils and crockery for those who enjoy cooking. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed and the single bedroom has a 4' bed. The bathroom includes a roll top bath and separate shower cubicle.
The cottage is centrally heated and also has a wood burning stove which makes it perfect for cosy evenings relaxing after a day's walking or exploring all that the area has to offer.
A basket of wood is provided with kindling and firelights. Additional wood can be purchased in the village stores.
The brick ground floor has underfloor heating throughout.
We can provide a travel cot for infants under a year but unfortunately, Meadowsweet Cottage is not suitable for toddlers or young children under 8 years old.

Having fallen in love with Suffolk as a child, I moved here 25 years ago with my husband Brian, a sculptor and our three sons. The quiet lanes, big skies and slow pace of living continues to draw people to this beautiful area. Ten years ago, a friend and I started Nips and Crumpets, a vintage tea party business. This satisfied our love of baking and providing hospitality. Since then I have organised the renovation of Meadowsweet and Queenie's Cottages to provide a welcoming and unique experience for our guests. I love welcoming guests to our cottages and understand that they have come to relax, so respect their privacy. I live 2 miles away and will always help if needed. My passions include Art history, gardening, painting, interior design, all kinds of music, baking and going for walks with teddy our terrier. I love watching films at home in front of the fire of an evening and enjoy planning city breaks to explore the art and architecture of somewhere different.
