The space

This part of Gippsland is an almost undiscovered wonderland, with so much to see and do. From the rainforest to the sea and everything in between - beautiful! Woranga House is a peaceful, and if you so desire, romantic (URL HIDDEN) soothe the soul and refresh the spirit! Which is why we have a two night minimum stay..... We are not a 'stop off' point but rather a space for our guests to unwind, relax, explore and enjoy some of this beautiful region. Set in picturesque dairy farmland, five
minutes from Yarram township, 'Woranga House' offers self-contained luxury B & B accommodation in a delightful, open-planned unit which forms part of the main house, but is completely separate. Your full breakfast hamper awaits your arrival and there is also a private barbeque for your personal use.
The birdlife is plentiful with kookaburras, galahs, cockatoos - both black and white - regular visitors to the garden. As well as a family of magpies who come to be fed, twice a day! We even had a koala tromping down the veranda last year and we now seem to have a resident wombat!
We are two kilometres from the famous sand belt Yarram Golf Course.
Twenty minutes to historic Port Albert with two lovely restaurants - and reputedly 'the best fish and chips in Gippsland'! And only about twenty minutes from delightful Toms Cap Winery and restaurant.
Fifteen minutes to the beginning of the 90 Mile Beach - on our pristine, unspoiled coastline.
Fifteen minutes to Tarra Bulga National Park with its many fascinating rainforest walks and the Grand Strzelecki Track.
An hour to world famous Wilson's Promontory National Park.
Forty-five minutes to the famous Celia Rosser Gallery in Fish Creek. Celia is known as the 'greatest living botanical artist' and her specialty is Australian banksias.
Scenic drives through the Strzelecki Ranges with quaint villages and shops along the way.

Guest access

Check-in is after 2pm and check-out 10am unless other arrangements have been made.
The unit is self-contained.
Access to the main house is not available to guests and we have no access to the B&B when you are here. Laundry facilities are available in nearby Yarram.

Interaction with guests

We are available whenever you need us, as we live in the main part of 'Woranga House' but we are also mindful of your privacy.
We are happy to chauffeur you to and from a restaurant if you wish to 'indulge' a little!! We are happy to make reservations or recommendations for you.
We are, naturally, also able to provide our guests with tourism and/or shopping advice.

Other things to note

We have two Maltese x Shi Tsu (supposedly!) dogs who are delightful and love visitors!!! But, we will keep them well out of your way.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Woranga House. Susie and Trevor are very welcoming and helpful hosts, and the place is lovely, spacious, relaxing and a fantastic base to explore Yarram and the surrounding region. Our hosts were very patient, waiting for us while we were being delayed by the traffic out of Melbourne. When we finally got there, we were shown what would be our lovely base for the next 4 days, and given plenty of information about best places to see and things to do. We knew we wanted to go back to Wilsons Prom, but we were glad for the suggestion to go to Tarra Bulga NP, and Ninety Miles Beach. In the morning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with freshly baked bread, eggs, bacon and tomatoes. The jams and biscuits and the fresh coffee were great too. The place is much better furnished and stocked with all the little things that you only miss when you decide to cook an evening meal. Thank you, Susie and Trevor.

Thanks guys...that's a lovely review....I am SO glad we managed to provide 'all the little things' to make your stay with us enjoyable and easy..... It has always been our goal, to do the very best we can to make our guests feel as close to 'home' as possible and to get such positive feedback makes us happy that we are meeting our goal. Thanks again. S & T

Susie and Trevor were extremely warm and welcoming, making us feel at home instantly. The house was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast hamper and cookies were excellent fuel for us to explore Tarra Bulga and Wilsons Prom. We would definitely stay here again!

What is there not to love about this ever so welcoming home! From the happiest and most welcoming hosts we've stayed with, it was more like visiting friends, and their two gorgeous fluffy little girls - the locals in town are just as great to chat with. The location, although feels secluded, is very close to surrounding areas and towns. The home had everything needed, including fresh produce from around the town for your breakfasts, and Susie & Trevor are more than willing to advise & show you around the surrounding suburbs, and assist where necessary otherwise. Two or more nights here is definitely necessary, there's so much to explore and experience. Cannot wait to return to share more experiences (and wines) with the happiest of couples xo

My partner and I had a fantastic long weekend at Susie and Trevor's home. The location is in a peaceful area off the beaten track but is so close to fantastic attractions like Tara Bulga, Wilson's Prom, 90 Mile beach and Port Albert. The house has everything you could possibly want on a weekend away from a hairdryer and huge bath towels to wifi and HDMI/USB ports on the tv. They even assemble a beautiful breakfast basket for your arrival with fresh produce from the area and chocolates and fresh flowers by the bed. The beautiful decor and attention to detail truly makes this a home, and Susie and Trevor made us feel most welcome. Truly beautiful, cosy and welcoming place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing 10-day break at Woronga House B&B. We awoke and went to sleep to the sound of birdsong (ducks, magpies, rosellas, kookaburras etc). We enjoyed the comfortable bed, with lots of bedding options (doona, light blanket etc) and well-needed aircon for hot nights. Great quality TV/DVD and wifi (NBN broadband) and stereo, with cds and dvds supplied. Kitchen was well-equipped with a microwave, 2 hotplates, a domestic fridge and an outside BBQ. Good quality utensils for all our cooking needs. Good quality crockery and cutlery. Excellent provisions for both breakfast and in the pantry. Everything supplied for a relaxing break. Susie and Trevor were excellent hosts - supportive but unobtrusive. Lots of activities nearby - beaches, national parks and wineries/restaurants/cafes.

Susie and Trevor are your hosts at Woranga House. We 'escaped to the country' fifteen years ago but still managed to build an international business from here! Having said that, we have travelled extensively and know what we appreciate - and expect - when we do. It is our wish to provide you, our guests, with the same kind of standard and care we appreciate ourselves. We want you to feel that 'Woranga House' is your 'home-away-from-home' and make every effort to make you feel such a level of comfort!
We will do all we can to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. It is both quiet and peaceful at Woranga House as we only have one unit available for guests.
