Near our house there is a modern park, the Ocean Mall, places to eat, a movie theater and easy access to the bus. You will love our place. It is cozy. Those of us who live here integrate, we offer all the information about tourist places with tips! This room comes with a super comfortable queen size bed, a fan, and a private bathroom. We have a large common area with hammocks, tables, and chairs. There is also a large kitchen that you can use at your leisure.

The space
Our spaces are as clean as possible, we have an open-air common area, we have hammocks where you can be quiet, now we are expanding a little so we have a little construction on the second floor but nothing that affects guests much since we are not doing noisy work.

Rokadura is like a share house. We are a collection of locals, artists, volunteers and travellers from around the world.
Are spaces are bright, airy and full of tropical fruit trees. There are hammocks, benchs, table, chairs, that you can use in our sweet common areas. There is a large commonal kitchen with all the ammenities that you can use 24 hours a day. We are progressing with our place so I am finishing rooms during the day. We are very respectful of our guests and dont make noise while they are sleeping our chilling out.

We have a nice pool, a shared kitchen, common areas, beers with extra charge and laundry with extra charge.

There is a awesome swimming pool. You can also use the common areas complete with hammocks, tables, chairs and a guitar. We also have a large kitchen that you can use 24 hours a day. And of course a washing machine that you can use. You have a key to the front door and can enter 24 hours a day. Oh yeah and a fully stocked beer fridge

We have never had a problem. On the weekend there is a 100% local salsa bar that fires up just 10 mins away from us. So you can have the best of both worlds the Histrocial Centre and the real columbia at your doorstep

The Bus For Parque Tayrona

Step out the front door and don’t cross the street.
Turn right and walk 5 minutes to Jumbo/Ocean mall. Turn right on calle 29. There is a a bus stop on the corner. Take the bus saying Yucal or Mamatoco. Tell the bus driver Parada or stop when you see Buenavista Mall it is pretty big you cant miss it. You can also just ask him to let you off at Buenavista. There is a bus stop there as well. From there you just flag down the bus to Parque Tayorna, Palomino and all destinations east.

If you are coming from the airport ask the taxi driver to let you off infront of the los torres del tamaca dispus puente del mayor. We have a huge sign out front saying rockadura the price from the airport is around 25000 pesos.
Same directions from the bus terminal. From the bus terminal the price is 5000 pesos. look forward to seeing you. If you are coming from the center catch a taxi 5000 pesos, or a bus 1700 pesos. Catch the U bus tell the driver to let you out front of our door.

For buying grocieries.
You got a heap of options. There is the supermarket Jumbo in the Ocean mall. It has pretty much anything you desire and just a 5 minute walk away. Go out the door and turn right you cant miss it.
A really good fruit and vege/meat shop is just a 5 minute walk away. It is called Mercacdo Campiseno 19. Head out the door turn left cross the bridge and at the first traffic lights take a left. It is pretty much on the corner. It is cheaper then Jumbo.

For resturants there is a really good local place where you can get good columbian style breakfest and lunch. Hours 7:00 to 15:00. Cost $7000 to $20,000 Head out the door turn left cross the bridge walk another minute or so and its on your left hand side. It has a red metal fence and a sign out front saying Carne Cerdo Pechuga al Carbon.
There are also a ton of resturants along Calle 19. Head out the door turn left cross the bridge and at the first traffic light take a right. There is a great pizza place called El Vomito. Hours 11:00 to 21:30.

El Centro
The centre is only a 15 to 20 min swalk away. Or in bus $1700 or taxi $6000. 10 to 15 mins. Things do in the Centre. There is a beach called the Bahia it is pretty chill and you can swim there no problem. There are a ton of resturants and bars in the Centro Histrocal. There are beautiful cathedrals to check out as well.
At night time head to parque del los novios take a beer and chill out. If you want to go for a nice dinner there are tons of resturants around the parque.
For nightlife there is La Puerta. A really cool bar that plays salsa and many other types of music. On Friday and Saturday they have a dj

Bahia Concha (The best beach around Santa Marta by far)

Step out the front door don’t cross the street flag down a bus going to Bastidas. $1700. The bus should take 30 to 45 minutes. Get of at the last stop Monverede. You can ask the bus driver where it is. It looks like a big square or parking lot. When you get off the bus look for 4x4 jeeps or a motocycle taxi to take you to the beach entrance. $5000. The entry fee for the beach is $5000. To get back here. Catch a motocycle taxi or 4x4 jeep back to the square. They are always waitng around the gate. Or you can arrange with with your first driver what time you would like to come back. When you get back to the square in Bastidas. You catch the U bus back to Rokadura.
Tips.
Bring water snacks, you can grab a lunch for $10,000 to $15,000. Bring snorkle gear if you have it. If not you can rent it for $10,000 to $15,000.
If you are so inclined bring a big bottle of rum and a machete and hunt for coconuts to make cocolocos. Ohhh ya

We live in a barrio only 15 mins walk or 10 mins by bus from the historical centre of Santa Marta. We are located only 3 mins walk from the Ocean Mall which has a luarge supermarket called Jumbo. There are lots of resturants, shops, bars and atms close by. It is safe to walk around 24 hours a day. We have never had a problem.
