Perched above secluded Garden Bay beach, this absolute waterfront free-standing self-contained boutique cottage combines modern open plan comforts with the character of the classic Australian beach house. Swimming, snorkeling, paddling & sun-bathing are at your back door. Unimpeded north-facing views of the Tollgates, Black Rocks, and out into the Tasman.

The space
"Integrity" is ideally suited for couples, small families, and professional and business travelers seeking comfortable, relaxing, private accommodation. Only 2 hours from Canberra and 3.5-4 hours from Sydney, there are few South Coast locations more suited for the perfect coastal holiday. We frequently cater to international guests seeking an authentic experience of Australia's beautiful east coast beaches with all the amenities.

"Integrity" is positioned on the waterfront along a quiet street running along secluded Garden Bay - a 10 minute walk to Malua Bay shops or 12 minute drive to the local hub, Batemans Bay. The grass reserve bordering the property's western side provides additional privacy. Luckily, Garden Bay and Malua Bay neighbourhoods were saved from January 2020 fires, so basic services (electricity, wifi/internet, mobile phone, local shops, etc.) are fully functional.

During the COVID-19 threat we are implementing NSW's Covid-19 Safety Plan for hotels and acccommodation. For example, one day before and after every visit is blocked to allow ventilation of the premises (excepting the Saturday-to-Saturday booking policy for 12 December-1 February summer holidays) . Surfaces between stays are sanitized (e.g., counters, tabletops, door knobs, drawer and appliance handles, toilet flush levers, faucet handles, remotes, light switches). Bed-sheets, duvee covers, pillow slips, bath towels and face-cloths are washed between each stay for each guest. All dishes, silverware, glasses etc. are machine washed. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant soap, gloves, sanitizer wipes, tissue, paper towels, and hand soap are provided. These extra cleaning and sanitizing precautions will incur a modest increase to the normal cleaning fee as long as the virus threat continues.

In the interest of the health and safety of all our guests, we are asking everyone to answer the following questions before they book:
• In the last two weeks, have you or anyone you live with traveled to any areas that have been impacted by the coronavirus?
• Have you been diagnosed with, or suspect that you have contracted, the coronavirus?
• Do you currently have any travel restrictions in your area due to the coronavirus?

For booking inquiries, it will be helpful to know what brings you to this area, the number and age ranges of people in your party, and the time of projected arrival. Please indicate also if there are any special needs, extra persons, or infant.

Maximum number of guests with standard booking is 6 (adults + children) plus up to one infant. All 5 beds (1 queen, 4 bunks) available with standard booking have mattress protectors, sheets, pillows, pillow slips, pillow-cases and covered doonas as well as bath- and beach-towels. There are also extra pillows and blankets. The master queen has memory foam topping. The laundry has a full-sized washing machine, dryer, washbasin, detergent, iron, half-sized ironing board, and outside clothesline. A fold-out crib is available with standard booking for up to ONE infant less than 2 years of age.

A double futon with protector, sheets, doona, pillows, pillowcases and towels is available for use by up to two extra guests @ $15/night/extra guest payable in cash on arrival if not paid previously through Airbnb. Smaller parties are advised that they will be charged at the 1 extra guest/night rate for the entire stay if the futon mattress is opened up and/or used for sleeping.

The kitchen, bathrooms, entry and laundry have been tastefully renovated with modern appliances (full-sized fridge, dishwasher, stove-top, oven, microwave, oven hood, rice cooker, wine cooler) in harmony with the feel of an authentic beach-side venue. Hardwood floors have been recently sanded and polished. Living areas, dining room and kitchen are open plan, north-facing, and well-lit with direct water views and access to the generous covered deck.

The deck is positioned to receive cooling breezes from practically all directions. Parents can lounge on the deck in shade while they watch the kids play in the sand and surf in full sight. For added excitement, pods of porpoises often pass through the sheltered Bay. The deck is ideal for family socialising with abundant seating and Weber BBQ.

Reverse cycle air conditioning provides indoor comfort in all seasons. A cosy wood-burning stove is available for winter heating, seasoned firewood supplied.

The pantry is stocked with basic amenities – olive oil, vinegar, balsamic, catsup, mustard, BBQ & soy sauce, sugar, instant coffee, teas, salt, pepper. There are all the necessary cooking utensils and serving equipment anyone would need including an Aldi Expressi coffee maker and French plunger. Guests wishing to use the Aldi Expressi machine should provide their own Aldi or compatible Nestle Nespresso cartridges.

For entertainment, there is WiFi, flat-screen smart TV, DVD/VHS player, collection of DVD movie classics, novels, and quality CD/stereo system. Guests with specific entertainment tastes (e.g., children's videos and games) should plan to bring their own discs.

Guest access
Guests have access to all rooms, grounds, parking, and facilities (except owners' locked cabinet). Garden Bay Beach Park with kids' play area and covered picnic table is at your doorstep. You can swim or snorkel in the gentle surf or stroll along the beach to the headland for fishing, explore the tide-pools, or trek along the clifftop reserve for casual walking and whale watching. Drift off to sleep with the gentle murmurs of breaking waves.

Normally we welcome guests personally at check-in observing social distancing. For after hours check-in an external lock-box is available. Luggage drop-off and storage can also be easily arranged.

Other things to note
This is a no smoking property.

Out of respect for people with animal allergies, we cannot allow guests to bring their pets with them.

During the high season summer period (12 December 2020 through 1 February 2021) bookings are strictly 6 days minimum and maximum (this leaves opportunity for one day airing out of the premises in light of covid-19).

Nearby Malua Bay beach offering modestly sized waves is patrolled during holiday periods and has a large playground, shower, toilets, picnic area and parking lot.
