Catalina is a beautiful family home situated in the picturesque village of Vinça in the foothills of the Pyrenees, just 30 minutes from Mediterranean beaches and an hour from the Mountains. Private pool, mature gardens, secure parking. Great views.

Catalina is a beautiful family home situated in the village of Vinça in the foothills of the Pyrenees – just 30 minutes from Mediterranean beaches and an hour from ski resorts in the high Pyrenees.
The architect designed house has been owned by the same family since being built in 1989. With the owners now residing in the UK, 2014 will be the first year that the property has been available for holiday rentals.

THE POOL AND GARDENS
The house is very secluded, situated in grounds of 0.4 hectares (just under 1 acre) with plenty of off street parking available. The swimming pool has been designed to maximise both sun and shade throughout the day.
The local shops, boulangeries, bars, restaurants and other village amenities are just a 3 minute walk.
With the famous mountain of Canigou dominating the local countryside, Vinça is an ideal base for those wishing to explore this beautiful region. The immediate vicinity is ideal for walking, cycling and mountain biking. Vinca also boasts a large swimming lake and beach - with lifeguards and beach café during the summer. The lake is just a 10 minute walk from Catalina.
The house is suitable for winter letting as it is heated throughout with the added bonus of a large log fire.

Vinça benefits from regular bus and train services to Perpignan, Prades, Villefranche de Conflent and the high Pyrenees. Both bus and railway stations are within easy walking distance. The one way fare for any local journey is just 1 Euro!

TV (French and UK channels), DVD /CD player. iPod docking station. 4 sets of double or triple floor to ceiling doors that open onto the terrace outside – creating a beautiful room with natural light. Full length curtains create a warm and cosy room for winter evenings. High beamed ceilings.
Dining Room: Well stocked with crockery and cutlery in large cupboards, sideboard. Table seats 8 comfortably
Kitchen:Modern and fully equipped with Gas Cooker, Oven, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing machine, Kettle, Toaster, CD player.
Main Bedroom: Double Bed with en-suite bath, shower, basin and WC. Large fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and reading lights.
Bedroom 2: Double Bed. Large fitted wardrobes, bed side table and reading lights.
Bedroom 3: 2 single beds. Large fitted wardrobe and bedside table with reading lights.
Bedroom 4: Sofa bed (very comfortable) – converts into 2 singles, with door to private basin and WC.
Family Bathroom: Bath, Shower, Basin and WC.
The garage has been converted to a games room - Table football and Table tennis.
Large Garden with various outside dining options including the sun terrace, an area shaded by vines (seasonal… and feel free to eat the delicious Muscat grapes) plus a separate shaded wooden terrace overlooking nearby orchards.
Brick built BBQ and hammock style swing seat, wooden bench and a range of other chairs.
Private outdoor pool 11m x 5m with shallow and deep ends. 6 sun loungers. (The pool alarm conforms to French legal standards). Pool cover.
Parking for multiple vehicles
2m high gates at the end of the drive provide both privacy and security
OTHER: Wifi Internet available throughout the property, hoover, ironing board and iron, hair dryer.
LINEN and TOWELS: Provided - please arrange for a change of linen for lets of 2 weeks or more.
Beach towels: Provided (but we ask that you ensure these are washed before departure).
Guests have sole access to the whole villa, gardens, pool and parking. The property and grounds are secured by a remote controlled gate.

The housekeeper, gardener, poolman and agent are all close by and available by phone throughout your stay, if required.

The house is kept in a good clean condition and in good order at all times. If you see something that is not up to standard or does not work please let us know and we will attend to it. Please leave the house in a good clean condition on your departure.
We accept that minor breakages happen and will not charge for these, however if breakages occur through neglect or careless behaviour we may need to make charge.

We, Jonathan and Julie, have been living in France since 2001 and we are still very much in love with this stunningly beautiful region of France. We are married with 4 children and 4 grand children. Spare time is mostly taken up with renovating our derelict house. The apartment advertised in Ria-Sirach as "lovely apartment - large terrace" is the first part of the renovation to be finished and we are very proud of how successful it is.
Our favourite pass-times are eating, drinking, gardening, looking after our 4 chickens and "relaxing". If you get to know us you will realise that "relaxing" is meant to be a joke, it is something that we aspire to in the future.
