Meg and George would love to welcome you to their newly built, private suite called The Old Calf Pen; a beautifully themed, private room with ensuite. The Old Calf Pen has its own kitchenette with small private garden a perfect place to enjoy the sun set with a glass of wine. Located on our small family Farm in Nempnett Thrubwell; a magical place in the heart of the Yeo Valley, a short distance from many local attractions, but also retaining the feeling that you have escaped the rat race.

The space
Where are we??..
Tucked away in peaceful Nempnett Thrubwell; a beautiful little hamlet over looking the Mendip hills AONB, offering picturesque views of Blagdon lake in the Yeo Valley; a perfect location for walking, fishing, cycling and relaxing.

Here at the farm we are conveniently close to Bristol Airport, but far enough away to not be under a flight path or near noisy roads. The only thing you might hear if your lucky, is a moo or two.

We’re also perfect if you have a wedding at Combe Lodge or Aldwick Court Farm as both of these wedding venues are only a few miles away.

If you just want to explore the local area we are only a short drive from Bristol, Bath, Wells, Cheddar and Weston Super-Mare which all have something different to offer.

What does the room offer??..
The Old Calf Pen has a small kitchenette which has an induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. It also has under floor heating throughout that will keep you cosy on a cold winters night. This stunning room also has a 24-7 pollen filtered ventilation system providing you with warm, filtered, fresh air, so you always wake up in a fresh environment.
The bedding is hypoallergenic and it is washed at 60c using non-biological washing powder. The bath sheets and bath towels provided are 100% Egyptian cotton.

Your ensuite has a walk in shower with luxuriously softened water. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided for your use.
A hair dryer can be found in the right hand bedside table and an iron with ironing board can be provided upon request at booking.

You will be able to catch up on your favourite TV programmes from the comfort of your bed with a full smart HD TV.

FREE fibre WIFI is included.

Your own private garden..
This room has its own private garden, it will be the perfect place to watch the summers sun set over the Yeo Valley, whilst enjoying an ice cold beer or chilled wine.

Pets allowed..
We ask that all guests let is know if they are bringing a furry friend with them, along with information such as breed and name. We charge an additional £10/night for pets staying and guests are allowed a maximum of 1 pet. This fee is payable in cash on arrival.

As we are a working farm, there is usually somebody around, and we will try to greet you if we can, however if we’re too busy to meet you and you have any questions we are always at the end of a phone if necessary.
